I've been a long time reader of Penny-Arcade but have never posted on the forum before. Not only that but I've never played a tabletop game until my friends and I started playing Ghostbusters. I'm only one of the players in the game while all credit for editing and making the podcasts goes to Doug Banks, not only that he structured the story and all of the events and ghosts to bust. He added all the sound effects and music that make the podcasts great. I wanted to share this because I figured if there was anywhere that anyone would like this and find it funny would be here on Penny-Arcade. There are six of us including our DM the Ghostbusters are as followed;

Holy crap sweet! Ghostbusters has and always will be my favorite IP, even more so than Star Wars.

Would you be interested in setting up a PbP game on the forums for this?

Sorry, ummm it is a really simple system. You have four stats Brains, Strength, Moves and Cool. They each range from 1 to 5 depending where you allocate the points. Depending on how many points you have say in Moves which is what determines your chances of hitting a ghost with your Protopack, let's assume you have four then you roll four dice. There is a catch though. Because on every roll no matter how small or seemingly unimportant one of the dice you roll is a "ghost dice". You add what appears on the ghost dice to your roll unless you roll a six which then the DM decides will negatively impact you in a certain way and it could be anything. Even if a ghost is rolling to hit you and if it rolls a ghost dice six it still goes against the Ghostbusters. Then there are skills in each of the four stats and there are a lot to choose from. In the group I have the highest brains so I went with engineering so I could maintain, repair and develop new equipment. When I roll a brains roll that has to do with engineering I roll an extra three dice. Then there are Brownie points, these have two purposes they are your life and if you spend some you can add as many points spent to a roll if it is going to be a hard one to make. But spending to much (I have a bad habit of this) can get you killed. You get Brownies points back by doing something impressive or dangerous but succeeding.

Which book are you guys using? I see that there are two...one (Ghostbusters: International) is basically an updated version of the other it seems like (adds encumbrance for example).
