Oh my god, this looks like a hilariously bad idea. The whole assassin's creed thing set in the american revolution is such a horrible clash thematically it's almost beautiful.
And why is that?
I mean, you are perfectly entitled to your own opinions whatever they may be, but in general you are doing one of the things I find so irritating: You say something will be bad, you say how horrible it'll turn out, but you give absolutely no elaboration or reasoning as to why.
So, colour me curious and give me a few points. Tell me why you think this setting will turn out poorly?

I'm sure Ubisoft will make it work, just for me it seems like the whole white-hooded assassin figure seems out-of-place and alien compared to George Washington and his band of soldiers. The assassin's outfit doesn't seem changed enough to reflect the times; it looks too much Prince of Persia instead of Colonial Era America. I'm not saying he should be wearing a red-white-and-blue number or the flag draped upon his outfit, i'm saying it feels like they basically plucked Altair from the first game, gave him some hand axes and called it a day.
Also personally the idea of the assassin's during the revolution just seems a bit wacky to me, but that's personal opinion :P
At least it's nowhere near as bad as putting Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur. What the fuck was that about?

because it doesn't make any historical fiction sense. The Italian Renaissance and the Crusades are far enough removed from our point in history that you can fudge with the setting and make something that people will swallow as being a fictional representation of history.
The Assassin being a Native American makes zero sense in the structure the game has set up. It's also already bordering on a sort of negligent racism that almost always happens when you try to make your protagonist a native anything (be it Aboriginal Australian, African, or Native American). Also, like Godfather said, the assassin outfit looks ridiculous next to the colonial designs of the times, it sticks out like a native american being an assassin in the american revolution.

the ACs take place in 2012, and we're nowhere near as rad as the 2012 the Templars and Assassins live in, so I assume that reality deviated from ours a long long while ago, changing what the Templars and Assassins did and stood for, probably way back in ancient times when the Pieces showed up somehow (aliens?) so lots of stuff can be different and weird!
Also it's a video game where you play a guy playing a video game with his distant ancestor's DNA so you're gonna have to deal with some silly stuff
double also, the idea that making your character a native of wherever the game is set is somehow racist is ridiculous
