Where would 80's action be without Al Leong?

AlLeong.jpg

Such memorable roles as:

Bodyguard #2 - Magnum P.I. (1984)

Chinese Thug - Hunter (1984)

Asian Looking Thug / Chow's Henchman / Thug at Boat - A-Team (1984-1985)

Wing Kong Hatchet Man - Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Endo - Lethal Weapon (1987)

Uli - Die Hard (1987)

Dellaplane's Chauffeur - Action Jackson (1988)

Ghengis Khan - Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)

1992, this memorable fight scene against Brandon Lee in Rapid Fire

or maybe you prefer him fighting JCVD in Death Warrant (which is the worst warrant to have against you)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYbuJ-Ba4aQ

In this memorable scene from Last Action Hero he faces a true thug's death

Has any man who made a living being a thug even been so beloved? I say nay.

So let's take this opportunity to bask in the glory of one of the greatest if not THE greatest movie thugs of all time. Al Leong.

Terrible choice in facial hair? You think Al Leong has a choice? He was born with that facial hair. It grows nowhere else on his face and if he shaves it off it grows back instantly.

Isn't he in Tango and Cash? Razor dude in the two-on-two fight right near the end of the film?

Unless he in uncredited I don't think it is him. I haven't seen Tango & Cash in a long time.

I came in here expecting to see that he died.

I feel like there are movies I've watched and seen him in but I really don't remember and none of the OP ones come to mind (I didn't even remember seeing him in Lethal Weapon).

Die Hard is a movie that should be watched annually at the least. I probably watch it 5 or 6 times a year on average.

Die Hard is best watched on Christmas day.

I love learning the names of character actors

So when I see them in movies I can do more than go "hey it's that guy!"

Al Leong needs to team up with Danny Trejo for something. Anything. Everything. The more wanton death and destruction the better.

Al Leong should play every bad guy in Expendables 2. He just keeps dying over and over and over and over

Yes, and the only distinction between the different members of the Al Leong Army is that each one wears a different hat.

Never heard of him. But the Jean-Claude Van Damme video reminded of a dream I had this morning. I was watching Kickboxer because somebody told me that it was actually a really underrated films and one of Jimmy Stuart's better roles. I didn't remember Jimmy Stuart being in Kickboxer but sure enough, there he was with his folksy ways. He said something like, "Well, I don't much want to fight but it seems you haven't left me many options". Then he's reluctantly dipping his fists into the broken glass. Presumably, he was about to take on Tong Po but I woke up at that point.
