Name that horror movie!

This has been bugging me lately. I distinctly remember this small bit of a movie that I saw when I was a kid/teen, so it'd be late eighties to mid nineties at least. I think it was part of an anthology (like Creepshow or Trilogy of Terror--but not those).

The plot that I can remember goes like this: there's a serial killer on the loose in this town, and a guy is talking to a therapist (possibly a reporter?) about them. He reveals that he has a "psychic connection" to the killer and sees who is going to die and when, then tells her that she's next. Obviously, she thinks he's actually the killer and runs out of the office only for the elevator to open and the actual killer stabs her and then maybe turns and kills the guy too.

I tried googling this but obviously I don't have too much information for a good search and "psychic man serial killer psychiatrist" didn't get me very far and may have placed me on some sort of list.

Is it possible I'm remembering an old episode of Tales From the Crypt instead of a movie?

    Sounds like The Dead Zone.

Started with Stephen King's novel, then there was the movie, then there was a TV show later.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it definitely isn't The Dead Zone, sorry. :(

    The Outer Limits, maybe?

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

It's Open House, and it's on Netflix Instant Watch (it's been in my queue for like two months now, I just haven't gotten around to watching it)

edit: actually I don't think Open House has the psychic connection, but it still sounds like your movie, or part of your movie that might be unintentionally getting combined with something else.

I actually don't think it is, amateurhour. I definitely don't remember Adrienne Barbeau in it, and I think you don't see the killer until the end, when he steps out of the elevator. It's played up to make you think the guy talking to the woman is crazy so that you think he actually is the killer until the twist.

edit: Plus the psychologist is a woman, and she and the guy are in a an office, not a call-in show.

ceres, doesn't look like it's an Outer Limits episode, either, from a quick look at an episode list.

Is it the third story from Terror Tract? It sounds a lot like what you're describing.

Yes! That's it! Thank you. Turns out it was later than I thought. I must have seen it right when it came out. :D

Can I hijack this topic for the same reason?

There's this old 80's B movie, I think, that was like a campy horror movie. I remember the main antagonist being this warlock... vampire(?) guy. I think near the begining of the movie he's peeping at some busty students on the other side of a mirror. Anyways, he unleashes all these monsters and stuff in this school he's lurking around. I don't know why I think I remember a victim being killed by a pair of sneakers (Like, he melted, or something). At the end, the good guys play a basketball game against the monsters to get them to leave somehow.

My memory of this movie is incredibly vague, so no doubt I'm misremembering something. It -might- have been a Troma movie, but even thinking that I can't find it. I know this isn't much to go on, but this has been driving me nuts for a while now. ><

Wait...did he turn one of the nerdy kids into a computer/robot thing and the basketball team was named the blue devils?

I also seem to remember somebody getting killed by having his head covered with a spray can of a "spray on condom"

EDIT: Looking over Monster High from the previous post it seems to fit with what I'm remembering.
