Here's hoping no one has mentioned this yet but Zpocalypse is a neat new survival zombie game that Greenbriar Games in releasing in October. They have a kickstarter going right now that gives you a chance to help fund it and get it, a mini expansion, a full expansion and a ridiculous amount of other freebies in the bargain.

Here's the Kickstarter site: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/greenbriergames/zpocalypse-an-epic-zombie-survival-board-game

Looks cool, but I'm certainly not pledging $70 (with shipping) to get the game. Insane pricing scheme there, considering I can probably find it for $35 on release.

You get the game at 55$ actually and the 70$ level gets you the game and two expansions 3+ months early so you'd actually be saving money at that level taking into account what they'll cost. Shipping is only 5$ and that's only for outside the US so it's not bad at all considering some places charge 13$. Plus, this isn't about just buying the game, it's about supporting them as well (or at least it was, they're completely funded now).

It will be $70 for me, since I'm all the way over in Canada.

And I understand the idea of kickstarters, but I'm more of the mind that when I do pitch in money to one to get the final product, I don't pay twice the price. The few I've contributed to are product + small bonus for a bit less or the same as what I'd be paying later.

    Not for me, is all.

Edit: Ah I see. You were looking at shipping the dice. The game is $15 shipping to Canada and $35 elsewhere. Yikes.

Shipping has actually been reduced to $10 for Canada and $30 internationally.
