I'm working on a bomb build now, just need to get the fused helm recipe and the energy to build that stuff.

I love a good bomber. @Beckat has a fire bomb that is light on the eyes, and ignites every bad guy in range.

Gonna work on a stun bomb once I finish my current armor and gun projects.

I'm gonna be a bomber as a main thing probably.

Right now I'm using a freeze bomb and blast bomb, both 2 star.

    Needa find some better recipes.

Lot of variety in this guild, if we all keep playing!

For you bombers, I recommend this line for when it comes to doing a particular boss run, in the future. Lord Vanaduke.

Gunners would be wise to pick up blitz for the same reason.

    to be fair

is lord v even worth running?

because you made way better money with less time and effort just doing jelly king back when I stopped

or did they add a mission that makes it worth it

You get as much cashola from running the whole tier to Jelly King, it's true

they nerfed the Vanaduke mission's money from 12k a run down to 7k

but the heat is insanely good

plus, it's good shadow lair preparation if you play training montage music the whole time

    jesus christ

lord V was a bullshit fight

Shadow Lairs, pip! They include harder versions of each boss fight, designed for players with five star equipment keyed for each lair!

They require a 1200 ce key to get into, but that's a fairly decent price if you divide the cost among four players. Also, the money and heat is damned good, it gives you access to some special equipment (made in a unique alchemizer at the end of each) to boot. Plus, there's some honor and glory involved.

As a bomber, your main role is crowd control and status effects

pretty much, don't expect to do lots of a damage unless you're waving a sword around

gunners usually sit back and keep healthy, while they supplement damage and status stuff (if they have the gun for it), and then pick up people when they're down

    hmm

I think if folks stick with this I'll get an elevator pass and just do jk runs forever and ever

I'm rolling troika and going down the Sundaruska line for my guy to swing around while dropping bombs. Because I can't weave through the crowds of enemies holding a charging bomb on my head without getting annihilated to save my life. Gotta make room with some godly knock-back.

I'll look into getting another status effect bomb then, as I'm using straight damage and that ice one.

if you're going straight bomber you've gotta have a nitronome

everyone should have 1 normal weapon just because they upped the variation in the levels

It seems like all the missions, including the level 5 mission I've done, can be soloed with patience and a gun.

    Can take a while, though.

Got my Kamarin, electron charge, and fused demo set recipes. Now just gotta get brute jelly shield recipe. I shall trudge through the long process of amassing enough energy to craft all that crap until then.

So guys, I was playing some Blast-Network (the bomberman pvp minigame in spiral knights) and we got a tie. I noticed how in ties for team games, everyone gets 2 krogmo coins (Normally if a side wins they get 2 and the losers get 1) and, you get most of the crowns you spent to join a game back (winners would get 280cr and losers would get 0). So, I thought, why don't people always go for ties? Everyone wins! I'm thinking we should get together for some guild games, run SE vs Clawshrimp and force ties everytime. Cuts the cost of krogmo coins down a whole ton, and it's super easy. Thoughts?

I'm actually enjoying soloing many of the missions as it's teaching me to time my attacks better, block, and be patient instead of just running in and trying to kill stuff as fast as possible.

I don't think so, but there are plenty of active bomberman expert guilds who would immediately swoop in if they saw that guild battles were actually populated

I can set it up if you want

Blades of the fallen was pretty tough to solo, but I equipped a bomb and just kept dropping it on those knight bosses. Took quite a while, but allowed me to keep from getting killed more than once.

Using the troika is really good practice for this, particularly against those dude that throw office furniture at you. You need to time your attack and shield really well, because if you do not have your shield up by the time they have the item in their hands, the slow attack rate of the troika means it is already too late.

  • The Good Doctor TranThe Good Doctor Tran Registered User regular
Learning shield cancel on troika is critical in general, and soloing is very good for that. If you are not familiar with shield cancelling, go look at http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Shieldbearer_Guide#Shield_Canceling

It is a very good thing to practice.
