HELP!!! Obscure tv cartoon from 80s/90s?

I just remember watching a bit of it once...I remember three guys in different colors, blue red and yellow I think. There may have been more but I remember those. They started on some airbase, and had this armor that attached to them that could be upgraded...and each had a different vehicle to ride, a submarine, motorcycle, and plane. Can't for the life of me remember anything else, especially not the name. Anyone have any idea what I am talking about or did I just go nuts?
