In the close future, there is only war, and spilling drinks on the Citadel.[Mass Effect]
Mass Effect is pretty cool, yah? A movie that you play, making loads of choices that determine the flow of the narrative.
The third game is what we're all about these days.
But there were two games before.
and
The third game brought in multiplayer, which you can find your fellow STG or N7 special ops, or even now Geth and Batarian ex-pats looking to join the fight, here.
There is also Mom Effect, which will never make it past ME2 but here she is.
And as always, our theme song, which should always be sung during drunken, late night multi matches-

I've run into a new class of pub milker. Instead of simply staying afk at spawn, which worked for them on the original maps, they now will run to some far corner of the map, take cover in a tiny cubby-hole, and wait.
I just finished reading all of Mom Effect. I hope she sticks it out to the end and survives the suicide mission. She's hilarious.
Also, what builds are people using for KroGuards and Gethgineers?
There is no way she is going to survive the suicide mission, she refuses to do sidequests
Not doing any loyalty missions? Not upgrading anything? Not unfreezing Grunt or Legion? You are going to lose Jack, Tali and Thane before the mission starts. You're sure to lose your tech specialist. Sure to lose one person to the seeker swarms. Almost sure to lose your fire team leader unless you pick Miranda. Yeah, there's no surviving that no matter your assignments.
One the other hand, ME2 might be one hell of a short game if you head to the derelict reaper as soon as possible (might never even recruit Thane, Samara or Tali).
I am playing the first Mass Effect for the first time. It's pretty neat so far, and I like the setting.
The second half of ME1 gets way more exciting so if you like it now you're in for some fun. Then ME2 stays exciting wire-to-wire all while employing a superior combat system.

Krogan Facesmashing Murdertrain is just the tits.
I don't even like melee builds. And I'll try to jump on my fungineer for crowd control, but I'll just glance at all 15 feet of him and it's like, all aboard the murder train, I'll be your conductor for the evening.

Got the Asari Justicar last night....not sure what to do with her.
Bubble with warp at the end, got it. But with what? Pull? Reave?
Also, we're trying to effectively work out the best bubble strategy.
Important thing to remember is that reave only detonates if they're already inside the bubble. So it's a question of setting it up at a choke point and reaving anyone that steps in the circle. Or be badass and reave a few enemies, run up to them and bubble, setting off a chain of biosplosions on each.
I've found bubble trap works really well against geth primes, since they keep spawning turrets that can be detonated.
I mean, I'm not mad, but that was probably the one I wanted the least. I was totally looking forward to the Justicar or Gethfiltrator.

Yeah the annoying thing about those types of biotic combos is they only work on weaker enemies. I think at least with grenade combos you can reave armored targets and then toss cluster or lift grenade and get a detonation on a direct hit.
When I was messing around with drell adept last night in pubs vanguards were setting off explosions by charging reaved banshees/brutes/primes/whatever
It's a pretty solid way to deal with bigger enemies
Still want to try drell vanguard someday
If experience with pubbie drellguards is any indication, it's a lot like being the incompetent NPC you're supposed to protect on escort missions in single player RPGs, charging into the midst of certain death and needing rescue every 5 seconds

Also someone explain to me what I'm supposed to be doing as an asari vanguard
I went with the stasis/charge upgrades that give me a chance of the power not using a cooldown but it happens infrequently enough to not plan anything around it
She just feels like a mix of powers that don't really gel together that well, also lift grenades are dookie

Edit: I unlocked an Krogan Battlemaster last night! Now I pretty much always feel like this:

EDIT: Maybe even Garrus, since he just wants to go kill a dude.
Hell depending on how much she dislikes Jack she might even go along with that one, blowing up a building seems up her alley.
You can't give someone a pirate ship in one game, and then take it back in the next game. It's rude.
It's a hidden message that hints at a new possible ending to ME3. Shepard joins the Reapers and this unlocks a romance option with Harbinger.
