I'm thinking about reading my favorite little sidebar quote from the tyranid codex.

It's actually from the older tyranid codex, and I think there is an echo in my mic somehow since it's on my webcam.

Because I don't think I sound like that huge a nerd with a lisp all the time...

Ah yeah there is something wrong with my microphone.

Piece of junk keeps getting quieter and louder at random.

Just read something else instead that makes me less nervous.

Now someone read the next verse...

Yes, yes it is, but you pulled it off marvelously.

You speak the Queen's English and I love it.

Nobody can discern my accent but I will never stop thinking my voice is dull.

Yeah, it's a pretty smooth / nice voice you got there.

Where's the accent from? I can't place it at all.

I now have voices to put to names, which is all kinds of cool!

Fyndir you sound so much like I imagined you would, to the extent that I now wonder if I've actually heard you before and then forgotten

As crwth pointed out, I have recorded random bits and pieces for reasons before, so you might have heard those.

Your voice is reminding me slightly of the radio show host from VTM: Bloodlines.

    (it's a good thing)

Also, @Liiya, where is your recording?

    Just ramble about flowers.

    Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

    10/10 for happy.

I was actually expecting you to sound even more northern than you do, and was fully prepared to not understand a word of it. 8->

    Hurrah! Good.

It's a lot stronger than that, but I don't really feel comfortable recording myself so that equals "drop the accent, shields up!" effectively.

Yeah, I know that feeling. You sound great, though, regardless of if those lines are protected by layers of dialect shields

I'd record myself reading a short story but my parents are about so it's a bit too embarassing now. Maybe for tomorrow.

    Yesss!

(Also I know the feeling about the embarassing part because my dad heard me doing that pained groan I recorded in response to Munkus.

    Welp.)

Same here! I've lost much of the joy I had reading things aloud for theatre and drama. Time to reclaim it! I'll even try to fake horrible accents upon request.
