There are plenty of ways to mitigate lag and disconnects and the way d3 deals with lag isn't nearly as heart stopping as d2's mash health pots and hope.
It's ok to be scared of hardcore you don't always have to project it onto scapegoats like lag and connectivity :bz

When you don't charge a monthly subscription and plaster giant warnings about losing your character everywhere, you get a lot of milage to not give a fuck about hardcore characters dying.
It's interesting that I didn't like Assassin or Paladin in D2
But I can't wait to get my hands on Monk in D3, which is supposed to be a mix of the two.
Monk was just so much fun to play.
Can not wait for this game.
I figure since SE++ is its own community it gets its own battletag list. The gnt google doc is linked in the battletags section of the OP so you can do that very thing if you want to. I can also make a google doc for SE++ if people would rather enter stuff in themselves, or I can write a screen scraping bot that downloads the gnt list and populates it to a text file which I then rehydrate into the OP with only the names of people who have visited the current SE++ Diablo thread and also does Pindle runs while I sleep.

Well...people losing hours or even days of progress because of a connection hiccup? Blizz doesn't seem like the type to ignore that kind of thing.
Blizzard will do their best to keep shit stable, but the entire point of hard core is being able to die forever for no reason, losing all the hours you put in
Yea, I think it's fine for blizzard to put up a couple "yes I understand" windows and then just throw HC players to the dogs. Death = death. Period. That is what makes it dwarf fortress style "fun"!
Ugh money, I am so spoiled by steam sales. But nothing from blizzard ever goes on sale ever ever ever.

hard core isn't even available at the start in D2 right? don't you have to beat normal first or something
maybe I'm just getting confused with the beta which required you to hit 10 with a normal character before HC would unlock

2000ms HC Duriel battles
8 men enter, maybe one can leave game before dying
Still, I don't get too upset about it. Its just how the game is played.
Have they mentioned anything about looting the equipment from bodies of dead players in hardcore?

Now I don't have enough money for this.
i don't plan on ever playing hardcore but if i did i wouldn't wanna play with some bitch who goes and complains about dying in hardcore

Problem solved
if you kill the d3.exe your character stands there for 10 seconds before dropping unless you're in town
so getting swarmed by super hard mobs will end you
noice
I bought the Ce of Starcraft for a lot more legit reasons than the Diablo one though
The CE gives your characters angel wings.
The starcraft and diablo ones are not really a square comapred to the Warcraft ones

and I'll just run around wingless like a second class citizen
There are still CE's available if you look to the hell known to men
don't stand in the void zones! the multishot, lightning enchanted void zones.
it's a stunning twist
