Batman #9, Bruce strikes back, with the help of long time Batman mytho.
Ultimate Comics The Ultimates #10, pretty great first issue by Humprhies. That ending literally made me gasp.
And for reference why this page matters.
Ultimate Comics X-Men #11, is pretty interesting to the landscape of the Ultimate Comics Universe. In addition Stryker? gets rebuilt. It'll be really interesting where Spencer leaves the book after the next issue (his last).
Green Lantern #9, Holy info dump Batman.
"Ride or Die?" asked Goku
"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic

Batman #9 not being in the third week has wrinkled my brain.
Wolverine & the X-Men #10, Emma always has to be top dog, plus a schism within a schism and hitting on demonic mutants:
X-Men Legacy #266, She Hulk beats up innocent kids defending their school, and Frenzy takes exception to a guy in a white hood:
and then Rogue goes into her default "kick the Avengers butts" mode.
Spider-Man Parallel Lives, MJ and Peter 2gether4ever:
Doc Ock threatens to kill Parker's family if he doesn't give him spider-man, fight ensues, Pete thinks about why the secret identity can hurt his family yada yada...
I guess I am the only one who finds those Legacy scenes really sloppy?
I don't like seeing characters like Falcon and She-Hulk suddenly being bigoted/loose-cannons just to make the X-Men seem sympathetic.
Hmm, I was just about to say the same thing. Even Moon Knight seemed like he was just there to be a backdrop for making the X-men look good.
As a general rule, I refuse to bag on a title I'm not reading because context is everything. But every non-mutant in that scene was written as if their IQs had suddenly dropped about 50 points.

Yeah, having characters be written to fit a forced narrative stinks, don't it? :P
here is more context:
this takes place pretty much right after WatXM #10. The teachers are at a table saying this is what's happened (in AvX #2), Iceman and Rachel leave to help Cyclops. Mimic stays at the school, along with Frenzy, Kitty, Rogue, Paige, Sam, and Gambit. Rogue is teaching a class talking about how she doesn't want to fight the Avengers because of what happened with Carol years ago, when the Avengers show up unannounced (they told Kitty they were on their way 30 seconds before they showed up). They arrive and it makes the kids not pay attention, and the teachers go to speak to them.
The teachers say Iceman and Rachel left of their own accord to help Cyclops, and the Avengers are there to specifically stop any more "individual actions" like that from occurring. So far that seems in character with the Avengers during this event: showing up unannounced with the threat of violence to back them up. Kitty says where is Wolverine on this, the Avengers say he's unavailable, because they kicked him out of a plane 30,000 feet in the air but don't tell them the truth. Kitty says they stay 100 yards from the school, and can not enter the school. Falcon agrees.
So they sit and play cards, talking about a contingency plan. Frenzy walks out to the quinjet, and literally draws a line in the sand 100 yards from the school entrance. Falcon even agrees to it. Then Moon Knight starts saying she's a terrorist and all this stuff that would also describe a few Avengers. Cue the scans. And the kids make a subtle reference to the time the Sentinels were watching them after M-Day.
And at the very end the contingency plan seems to be a suit of Iron Man armor run wirelessly by Tony from Avengers Tower.
especially Moon Knight since he has been way less I AM AN UNPREDICTABLE CRAZY MAN since his solo series started

That's just his Wolverine side showing through.
And Wolverine is a gene traitor.

Is there a page missing between the first one in that Legacy sequence and the second? I'm not seeing MK giving her the riot act, so I'd have to guess there is.
I still find it hard to swallow that Moon Knight would rattle so easy though. I mean, a great majority of both X-Men and Avengers are former bad guys, Frenzy, Rogue, Moon Knight and Falcon all included in that. If something like that can get under Spector's skin ...
and yeah I think getting all upset at She-Hulk for doing a pretty low-key defensive maneuver when faced with a giant flaming skull-faced being leaping at her saying MUTANT POWER
is super dumb

She's a hulk, she can deal with it. If the kids are off limits, the kids are off limits. Last time Herman went crazy like that he was taken care of with cement, and that was Cyclops, who is apparently evil, and Magneto doing it.
By that logic Cyclops was Timothy Olyphant for shooting first against Cap. 6 mutants against 16 Avengers and Shield, that'd be a low key a defensive maneuver too, against a guy with a super absorbent shield.
I do think it's kind of funny that She-Hulk did that thunder-clap thing, and injured some kids, as she got pissed at Doc Samson for doing the same thing, to Amadeus Cho.
Here's some good She-Hulk, from Avenging Spider-Man #7, by Kathryn and Stuart Immonen.
Basically, She-Hulk and Spider-Man interrupt some museum thieves, who are attempting to steal a jade, Egyptian cat statue. But, after handling the statue, She-Hulk is chosen as the champion of Bastet, and subsequently grows a tail.
Which, y'know.
She's not too excited about.
I kept waiting for the lolcats nod, and I'm amazed at how subdued it is.
What struck me about this issue, was noticing how much Kathryn Immonen has improved as a writer, since first starting at Marvel. Her stories used to be mostly inscrutable, due to the stream-of-consciousness writing style she seemed to use. Now, they're more focused, while still retaining the sense of fun her work's always had.
I'd seriously love to see the Immonens take over this title, before the whole musical chairs creative team thing goes on for too long.

It seems like Stuart Immonen keeps Kathryn in check in the writing department, because that and their Vs. story wasn't as out there as her other works (there was also an old story in Jurgen's Cap run where they worked together that was subdued). Stuart's a competent writer, in that Karl Kesel vein (probably a mentor thing because they worked on Superman together for a while), so he grounds her rather well.

Ever read the Hellcat story they did together in Marvel Comics Presents? It was basically incomprehensible.
You can grab the previous FCBD Atomic Robo stuff on Comixology as well, and just read it via browser or smart thingamabob. I think 2009, 2011, and 2012 all had Dr. Dinosaur. 2010 had Terror Birds.
And while I enjoyed WatXM and Avenging Spider-Man, the FCBD Atomic Robo was still my moment of the week, because:
Only the FCBD comics have Dr. Dinosaur (until recently), but he has appeared in almost every issue. Scott Wegener hates drawing him, but it also keeps anticipation going for people to see him again.
Now then, Dr. Dinosaur also appeared in Atomic Robo: Real Science Adventures #1 recently.
The part 2 conclusion to "Why Atomic Robo Hates Dr. Dinosaur" (aka FCBD 2009) was in volume 4, issue 3 (?), "Why Dr. Dinosaur Hates Atomic Robo". I could have sworn that one was never in FCBD form. Scott had to draw all kinds of crazy stuff for that volume, and if I recall from the intro, it was supposed to be a "let's not do anything crazy and take it easy" sort of book that ended up having power rangers, vampires, ghosts, and 22 more pages of Dr. Dinosaur. My brain might be mistaken though on whether that one was a FCBD comic.
Either way, the point is: get Atomic Robo. Get it now. Get it all.
that atomic robo scene is the best. i need to track down that issue. I couldn't get to a comic shop on saturday and my local was out of them (they usually have extras for a few weeks or so)
Batman and Batman & Robin both met expectations .
Wolverine & The X-Men was cool, didn't feel like a wasted tie in issue like I feared it would be.
Atomic Robo has already been pointed out as freaking sweet.
New Avengers continues with the sweet, sweet Iron Fist goodness. As far as tie ins go it has spent two issues just setting up so it should be taking off into exciting stuff land next ish.
X-Force was pretty good but given the above books it was the weakest of my purchases this week.
What's in New Avengers? Iron Fist or not, I'm pretty weary of it. Dazzle me.
Erik Burhamn tweeted this Instagram photo of Atomic Robo FCBD 2012 with the caption, “This is my mantra for the day.” I cannot agree enough for work reasons. So between that and careful consideration (and not picking up comics on Wednesday), this is my MotW.
so does instagram just trash the image quality of images or what, i am confused
that looks like what would happen when i would convert huge jpegs into gifs or pngs
... And then I came to my senses and realized I could just take a screenshot off the Comixology version.
I'm pretty sure the jpeg artifacts in Burnham's tweet had something to do with taking a screencap and Instagram blowing it up, because there are already artifacts in that screenshot.

At least Munch's scans are cool. If July's wasn't my last preorder I see no reason not to have added AvSM to my list (and kept Venom).

Thanks to Free comic book day I now have two.

"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic
Also I'm getting like 7 books next week and none on the 23rd or 30th. Such is 5 Wednesday months.
I wonder if Clevinger will get another shot/has desire to write for Marvel or DC any time soon.
edit: haha just realized the giant sentinel they are building at the end of Ultimate Comics X-Men #11 has strykers soul patch hahahahaha.

The Hellcat story featured in the Marvel Comics Presents anthology, was basically unreadable.

And the mastermind behind it so far is Stegron + something he found ( guessing symbiotes)
I'm definitely on board for the next arc with Iron Man.
