    well I wouldn't go in one due to fear of heights, but i don't think the rapid decompression of the air containment holds much to fear since I would never be near it. Also hot air balloons are okay as long as the basket stays on the ground forever.

    I am not afraid of heights and blimps would not bother me.

    Basically it is the potential for the balloon to pop unexpectedly and my loss of control over the event that is the basis of me being uncomfortable/scared of them.
