"During the demo for their MMORPG Age Of Conan, Funcom project director Jorgen Tharaldsen informed the press group that the company is already deep in development of yet another MMO project for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms. The game is actually being shown to publishers at GDC (although not to the press). The game is using the same graphics engine as Age of Conan and Tharaldsen told us that the unnamed title takes place on Earth in the present day, making the game one of the first, if not the first, MMO project that uses a real world present time setting. We hope to get more info on the title in the months ahead."
Looks like they're finally doing some press about The World Online.
Guys its Obs, the guy who got jailed for racism and had Hitler on his sig, take the source in context.
So I feel like I'm actually contributing the new WW MMO will presumably be a WoD product and thus present day as well, though I have no idea how they're going to put that much emo online at the same time.

It worries me when companies develop more than one MMOG at a time.
Yeah, it sort of makes me feel suspicious that they'll either make two games that are almost exactly alike, gimp parts of the games so that they'll feel more different, or have the dev teams completely ignore each other even when one comes up with an obvious innovation that the other should be copying.

Anarchy Online?
I was pretty 'holy shit' for a second there.
Then I read the wikipedia article. Goddamn there isn't a single MMO I'm interested in right now.

Actually, they are implementing it as we speak. And your identity plays a much bigger part in EVE than any other MMOG I am aware of.
Oh man, oh jesus you just opened a floodgate.

Yeah.... I you for that comment... Indeed a Reboot MMO would be hawt sauce.
Those were the days when you would watch a TV program because it was CGI. Simpler times.
I always hated those cgi shows, as a kid. They were creepy and unnatural.
I hear ya, but Beast Wars was just too damn cool to not watch.
