His cloak is the cloak of dwarf holding.

I'm more bothered by the disconcerting way that he grabs the harness and then just pivots around his hand with no apparent way of having induced that motion.

Yeah you couldn't see him behind his cloak. There is something peaking out that might be the edge of Gimli's axe.

Isn't Exhibit B that crazy giant elephant trunk slide they put in ROTK? That's not exactly a CGI triumph either.

It looked pretty cool when I saw that horse mounting thing in the cinema, because nobody was expecting it and you weren't really concentrating on it. It looks fucking silly when you rewatched it now.

Syn, I've been on the AGS forums a lot lately just looking at ideas and resource for when I make my point and click adventure and there's a pretty big Gabriel Knight following there.

Also I'm glad that KickStarter got backed, and it's looking like the Two Guys From Andromeda one will succeed too. It's like Sierra just got pulled out of a fucking time capsule.

Like I said, Core Strength. He did it all from his core. Don't ask.

Also, elven bones are light and semi-hollow, like a bird, so they weigh surprisingly little.

You know what's infuriating is the part of the special features where they talk about screenwriting

Tolkien didn't really understand the rules of storytelling and we do because we attended screenwriting seminars and you can't have Faramir pose no threat that would be cinematic death

    SHUT UP SHUT UP

Still I love the movies though.

It looks like they were imagining legolas grabbing the horse then having momentum as though the horse stopped

    But it did not.

Frodo didn't seem as much of a bitch in the books. Not sure why they made him one in the movies. 8->

I got sick of the slomo "Oh no Frodo is hurt" scenes.
Slo mo was a bit much, but Frodo was always getting captured or stabbed or dismembered or weighed down by the ring in the book.

    He suffered A LOT.

True, but with me it was just silly because we all know he lives through it.

    .
    ..
    ...

This is not a rational line of thinking.

    I'm just saying.

It felt hamfisted cause I can't feel bad for a guy I know turns out just fine and dandy in the end. :P

This is like saying you don't enjoy playing cards because you already know there's only 52 of them in the deck.

No, because I only get a random two out of the deck each time.

And it's not like I'm hating on the movies. They're great.

That's just my one little nit pick about it. It's cool dude.

It's exciting and it's kinetic. But you also don't watch it and think "THIS IS CLEARLY HAPPENING."

Yes, I understand how ironic that sounds, since we're talking about a movie that features elves and anthropomorphic jewelry, but you know what I mean.

you are kind of fucked - you need to tell them to take your number out of the send list or start a new conversation without you.

You have no power over their phones, and blocking numbers can only be done at AT&T's end.

I forgot that LSL got backed (I remember looking at screenshots from one of the last ones back in like 94 in an old EGM as a teenager and it was hot stuff... ) and I heard rumors of KQ, but I didn't know it was official. What number is it? 4? (I never played KW much)

Yeah, now if Lucas would get off his ass and license some more Sam and Max and Monkey Island and a fucking end to the Day of the Tentacle Trilogy that I desperately want so bad.

Legolas mounting the horse was awesome. Legolas walking on top of the snow while everyone else is waist deep in it was also awesome.

The shield surfing and the taking down an oliphant single handed and then trunk-surfing was you know a bit much. Gimli's "that only counts as one" line kind of made up for the second thing though.

There's definitely blacklist apps to block calls from certain numbers, I assume it does texts as well. May require a jailbreak though.

I love Telltale's Sam and Max series but I was kind of underwhelmed by what I played of Strong Bad and Tales of Monkey Island.
