20 gig ps3s are listed as being discontinued. Thinking about it, I didn't see a single 20 gig ps3 at bestbuy or gamestop when I went the other day. They had literally 40, 60 gig ps3s, but not a single 20 gig ps3.

I seem to think I saw a 20 gig PS3 not too long ago at best buy, but I could be imagining things.
That would certainly be a good assumption.
I didn't have that hard of a time finding my 20 gig, but I know they are not very common. Personally, I think the 20 gig PS3 is very viable if you don't need wi-fi.

Agreed, but the 20 gig probably should have been that one version.

I mean, the big argument was "it's not that much more expensive since the $500 PS3 is as fully featured as the $400 X360" and that just went down the shitter.
On the other hand, I see why this happened, as I've heard that Sony loses something like eighty dollars less on the $600 model than on the $500.

What did they tell all of Europe? "Nobody cares that you aren't getting the 20 GB version"?
What dickholes. Their entire blog post of an article amounted to "I went around stores and looked online for the 20GB models, and I can't find one, and some dude over the phone told me it had been discontinued, but a Sony rep said they weren't. CONSPIRACY?!?!?!?!"

I can't shake the feeling almost 95% of X and Y have been hashed out already in the previous PS3 threads, and Z is pretty much a nonstarter that at its best will regurgitate substantial portions of X or Y.
So I guess I didn't mean to imply moderatorial direction (I concede I clearly did imply it) but instead only offer this: Sony, what more can you really say at this point?
