During a cutscene at the start of one of the early missions the commander of Ghost Squad says "OK. Here's the situation" over his comm unit. And of course I immediately started reciting the lyrics to myself and giggling like an idiot. I didn't think anyone else was nerdy enough to have also noticed. This comic absolutely killed me. Thank you Mike and Jerry.

Way over my head. Is the guy in Ghost Recon called Fresh Prince?
Yeah that's super weird, I would've figured Mike would just take the keys from one of his many Porsches and draw those, but nope, looks like he Googled it instead.

I'm not calling Gabe ot on lazyness. I thought it was intresting to see a model he used.

Jordyn and I invented a Will Smith rap song drinking game that would probably put a healthy adult in the hospital within the first two minutes of most of his songs.
Also, Jordyn once cried listening to Willenium.

Love the thread, but am sad to see all the bitching about noses cropping up again. Mike's art evolves and he's going to draw the way he pleases, not the way you, I, or anyone else wants.

The weird part is that you can barely even see it. I mean, it's one thing when it's right there in your face (and theirs!), but there's a frickin' facemask. I didn't even know that the dude had Trenchnose until this thread pointed it out.

Seems like reasonable feedback to me.
We know Gabe will draw how he wants to. Presumably he wants to draw in a way other people enjoy.
Evolution requires selection pressure.

Not too long ago, I transferred my cassette of "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" to wav->MP3 (it has the extended version of Nightmare on My Street, and the Too Damn Hype track). Learned a bit about how to use noise removal tools.

Maybe we need to put the "GABE AND TYCHO DO NOT READ THE FORUMS" disclaimer in the description for this forum too?
But hey, you could always tweet about your displeasure with the noses at him like the guy in the last thread was going to, or e-mail him, if you think he really wants your valuable feedback.

Gabe is free to draw ugly things.
I am free to call them ugly.

If you guys feel the need to "contribute" to every thread by pointing out the noses every time they appear like silly geese, it's your right, but the people who seem to believe Mike is actually going to respond to their "feedback" and change anything because of it are deluded, I think.

I think Gabe sometimes reads the new comic threads.

Considering that Gabe and Tycho talk about the reactions in the forums during PA TV, it's not that big of a stretch to suspect that they might see at least some of the comments in these threads.
That said, I did join the other dude in tweeting to Gabe that trechnoses are ugly, because I didn't expect him to see it here. (I'm not sure if I have much of an expectation of him reading it there, either, considering how many tweets he probably gets).

I hate to contribute to the whole nose-thing, but I want to suggest that the critics start tracking the frequency of orange noses in the strips vs. the comments/tweets/email regarding that style of art.
Glad I finally stopped in to figure out what the reference was. I kept trying to figure out what FP of BA had to do with the plot to Risky Business.... :?
(As an aside, I don't necessarily mind orange noses, I guess, but it looks kind of silly with a balaclava)

As I recall, that was the primary motivation behind requiring that the New Comic thread actually stay on topic, back when it was in SE++. It was one of the very few threads either of them would ever pay attention to.
Regardless, I'm not sure what Gaslight thinks does belong in this thread, if reasonable criticism of the comic doesn't.

That was quite something....what is the topical-ness?
Also, a local pub has incorporated the words of the theme song to remind patrons to watch over their possessions from thieves. Hooray for London!
In the newspost, Tycho said that he starts rapping "Parents Just Don't Understand" by Will Smith anytime anyone says "here's the situation" to him. This idea led to the relevant comic. The video I posted was from Will Smith's appearance on Graham Norton just last Friday, wherein they discussed how over twenty years later everyone still remembers the lyrics to the Fresh Prince theme (another Will Smith rap).
I found interesting the similarity of topic (memorable Will Smith songs from over twenty years ago) interesting, particularly because the two discussions occurred so close together and had completely different origins.

But did anyone else catch the play on words in the title of the comic? I had to admit that it seemed like such a strange title for a comic.
The Foxtrot (Fresh) Papa (Prince) of Bravo (Bel) Alpha (Air)?
Yes, that was the entire point of the title
I really like this.
