So guys, I figured we could use a Marvel Zombies thread.
I just read Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #1 and it is pretty awesome.
My only question is:
I'm sure I saw a preview page from some Marvel Zombies book where it is revealed that the infection was caused by an infected Superman coming into their dimension, so is MZvsAoD in another Zombies universe, or what?
Well, if places like Heaven, Hell and Limbo are just more dimensions along the line of the all the Earth-XXXXX chain, then it'd be easy enough for a Marvel character to get there.
Although this is the first case I can remember of Heaven being in a Marvel book, they tend to stay away from any modern religious stuff.

Haha... how quickly we forget the whole "Angels and Demons were actually mutants" debacle...

'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'

Doom was in Hell before Civil War, and the Fantastic Four went to heaven to get Ben back
Gotta love how even in the present day you can't rub against the religion grain and stay in buisness. If Marvel had stuck to the "Angels and demons are really mutants" they would have been up to their necks in shit with every religous group ever.
And that would mean less money coming in, can't have that now can we. *dissapointed eye roll*

i kind of doubt it. i don't think the type of person who would get really outraged by that kind of thing pays a whole lot of attention to comics
by way of example- did the ending of preacher generate a lot of controversy? i never heard about it if it did, which is why i think what i thunk up there

What? No. You're talking shit.
The way "angels and demons" are used in both Marvel and DC is already heretical enough to piss off any conservative Christian group who might bother to pay attention. The reason why that whole "Angels and Demons are really mutants thing" didnt stick is because it was written by Chuck Austin in a lame-ass story line, and making them just mutants would be a massive waste of the storytelling power of using actual supernatural elements.
I mean, I hate to rob you of an opportunity to superior, but you're fucking high.
AOD vs. MZ 1 wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I hope they develop the story more, as the first issue seems to just be a re-hash of MZ with "LOL BOOMSTICK" thrown in.
Yeah, gotta say... Ash did not seem nearly bad-ass enough for me. Frankly, he was kind of whiney... But, I will still buy every issue because, hey, I love Army of Darkness and I loved Marvel Zombies.

The thought occurs, this series might answer the question of why Zombie Sentry isn't present in any of the other Marvel Zombie stories, outside of the flashback to the first infection.

Red and Blue tights and spit curl to boot.
That sucks.
Not showing the chest symbol, etc.
First issue is out today. I was beginning to panic and think I missed it somehow.

Well it was originally supposed to be Superman from another dimension, which would've been fucking awesome.
With the power of a million exploding suns!
What are you talking about?
