I knew nothing about this. I just got some Konami Insider newsletter and it said that Lost in Blue 2 comes out next month?

Was this well-known?

Lost in Blue was awesome.

If anyone knows where I can buy a sealed copy of the original for less than $60, please let me know!

I'll be buying the sequel before it disappears, now that I've learned my lesson.

I don't think it's well known. I knew about but I rub Lost in Blue on on my privates almost daily.

I gots me some 2 preordered WOOT.

I did hear it's very very very similar to the first. Nothing really new game or graphic wise.

Man, I forgot all about this game. I should pre-order it. I got so close to beating the first one and then I just didn't. Now I can't remember what mushroom gives me super stamina so I can't finish it.

According to the newsletter, if you preorder at Shitstop, you'll get a custom "twig" stylus.

I was contemplating buying this game for my girlfriends DS. How involved is the "survival" aspect of the first game?

I wasn't too into Lost in Blue. Love the concept though.

It's the DS remake of an (IMO better) Gameboy Color game called Survival Kids (the Japanese game even being titled simply Survival Kids DS). It got a US release and isn't too hard to come buy. Worth it if you have a Gameboy Color/GBA.

The sequel seems like it will be much improved, I can't wait.

You will die at least once if you don't know wtf you're doing.

I'm liking how the girl isn't useless like in the first game but it also seems a little more jokey. Talking to an ape through the microphone? However, you get to fight sharks. That is just so cool. Hopefully they made the beginning a teensy bit easier. It was just way too hard to get going in the first game but once you finally did, the game was really fun. That first week though was murder.

Cool, I was always into survival games such as Robinsons Requiem. Too bad that it's pretty much the only game in that genre that I've played as well. Are there more games than Lost in Blue that has the whole survival thing going for them?

There are the prequels. The prequels are called Survival Kids.

I'd take one from you, but unfortunately you only have "twigs".

The actual one is a "LOG".

I almost bought a used copy for $20, but I tried it out and didn't really like it.

...the fact that my character died of thirst or something within like two minutes didn't help.

I could never make a bed in Lost in Blue so I stopped playing it. I don't even know what I was supposed to try to do.

I loved Lost in Blue... except the endgame. As soon as you cross the lake the game takes a huge nosedive because it switches genres. It isn't supposed to be a maze game, or a puzzle game, or a stealth game. I'm assuming the sequel won't have the same elements.

Those block puzzles really pissed me off.

Oh god yes. Right after I finished those is when I stopped. There were so many of them and you're always losing health while doing them. It was just so frustrating that I was tired of playing when I finished them. Not to mention it's a mile and a half to get there from your camp so if you don't stock up on whatever your super stamina mushroom is, you'll probably pass out before even getting there.
