    I just read the second issue and OMG this is wonderful. I love Jeff Smith and Bone. While I do realize this is an all-ages comic, I wonder why he eliminates Lust from the 7 deadly sins but shows an alligator eating a person? The price was a bit steep, but it was worth it. I find it better than the in-continuity one. It's like All-Star Superman except not chronically late. Plus it's adorable, I so want Mary to say "stupid croc-creatures" or something.

    They told Jeff Smith that he would be retconning the origin of Billy/Captain Marvel, so he says this is in continuity

    I've heard people saying that it was injustice originally in the comic, and changed to lust at some point in the several decades since. Also, after I saw a preview of this next to the Trials of Shazam series, I can't figure out why the Judd Winick thing even exists. It shocks me how much better this is.
