I am using 3x5 Index cards to create plot cards for the novel I am working on. It's great, I love it. The best thing is, I can write a card, stick it in the stack and worry about specific order later. I had a bit of a scare today and couldn't find my stack of cards for several hours. If I lose these I am out numerous hours of work. The main problem is that I ferry these cards to and from work and I work on them at both locations. I could type the cards up in a word document or something and e-mail them to myself or something but I was hoping to find an online program that would work more like my paper system, but online that I could access at work as well as home. I cannot access my Gmail account at work, so I end up creating a lot of word documents for stuff and e-mailing it to myself, but this ends up being messy and requires sending an e-mail back and forth every day. I have tried several things that kind of work, but not quite the way that I want, like Google Docs, Google Sites etc. I want something a little sleeker and less time consuming and complicated. Also, I cannot download ANY software onto my work PC, so it has to be online. I can access most websites, but it's kind of hit or miss. (For example, I cannot access the main page of Penny Arcade, but I can access the comic and the forums as long as I go to those pages directly.)
Do you guys have any suggestions?

edit: Sorry, I didn't see the part about not being able to install software. Maybe grab a cheap netbook to use for your personal writing projects? Or ask for a special dispensation to install that software (which won't conflict with anything else on your system) ? Or perhaps contact the developers to see if there's a portable version that can run off a USB key.
