Non-techie having wireless router trouble.

Hey all, I've had a wireless D-Link router for 2 1/2 years, and I think it has gone kaputz. Without warning, it stopped working, and now all lights flash, save for the 'globe' light. The power light is flashing orange. I've followed instructions to resetting it, several times, but to no affect. As soon as I plug it in, it continues to flash. Connecting my computer straight to the modem works fine. Connecting the modem to the router turns off the 'PC link' light.

According to some old posts I've read, it looks like it's dead, but before I get a new one, I just wanted to ask you guys if there was something else that could be done.

Sadly, most (wireless) technology these days isn't user serviceable, or even designed to be serviced at all.
It's probably in your best interest to just start shopping around for a new one. What is your price range?
I have a Netgear N750 and it works quite well, even through all the walls of my house. It's not the cheapest, at $129-ish, but it does have support for dual band simultaneous broadcasting, USB storage, gigabit ethernet ports and looks pretty sleek to boot. The interface is pretty easy to get used to as well.

Muchly appreciated, I feared the worst, so welp, time to shell out the cash. Of course this happens on the first day of my vacation. Now I have to go....*shudder* Outside.
