Kingdom Hearts is the video game equivalent of fanfic.
The harder the rain, honey, the sweeter the sun.
Sometimes a crazy fic is what you're looking for.
Having read some fanfic better than most "books" currently on bestseller lists, I do not find this to be as insulting as you probably meant it to be :P.
But somehow, I lost all interest in the game after the second level.
Maybe I should give it another chance one of these days.
Professional, beautifully produced fanfic.
Like Wicked.
But fuck you — no, fuck y'all, that's as blunt as it gets"
- Kendrick Lamar, "The Blacker the Berry"
"I met Virgil and hung out with him and I got to see guys seen as bad in Medieval Times being punished and it was awesome."
The series is a masterpiece.

But something compels you to just keep mashing X.
If it was fanfic it would have more fuckin'
The barrier between worlds was restored leaving you stuck on the kingdom world and far from home but then sora had a plan and started running then it was all like when you walk away you don't hear me say pleeeease oh baby don't go
Then there was some emo trailer with some dude and all my dicks but never did I play part two.
Well the second one ups the homoerotic content by like 90%. That should count.
Your comment reminded me that Disney, in fact, owns Marvel now, and that realization has informed me of what else the fuck I could want.
* Except not really, because Kingdom Hearts II reveals that Ansem was the Heartless (bodiless heart, I guess) of the original Ansem. There's also a Nobody (or heartless body, I guess; these names are counterintuitive) called Xemnas.
* Except not really, again, because the dude that both the Ansem of the first game and Xemnas came from was not the real Ansem (Ansem the Wise), but a student of the real Ansem called Xehanort that assumed his teacher's name after Ansem the Wise disappeared.
* Oh, also, Xehanort was originally Master Xehanort, who fused with a guy named Terra to become Terra-Xehanort, but began to call himself just Xehanort after losing his memories.
* So, to sum it up, Master Xehanort became Terra-Xehanort, who became Xehanort, who called himself Ansem, who split into a Heartless called Ansem and a Nobody called Xemnas.
* As if all that wasn't enough, Master Xehanort apparently planned to create 12 clones of himself for some reason (there are people who are undergoing the process of turning into these clones), and the villain of the Dream Drop Distance is a Young Xehanort, a younger version of Master Xehanort from an alternate universe.
That is far more complex than anything involving Mickey Mouse has any right to be. And keep in mind that there are other characters with alternate selves, as well.
aaaaaaaannnnndddddd my fears were well founded. Glad I jumped ship. When I have to look up a FAQ just to understand what the hell is going on, im out. Silent HIll 1-3 excluded but I found Silent Hill 100xs more interesting that KH, even if it is just as big a mess most of the time,
can you imagine if Marvel heroes showed up in Kingdom Hearts
I can't decide if that would be wonderful or terrible
Just replace "Metal Gear" with "Kingdom Hearts". It works just as well.
Edit: Spoilered for size.

this tycho and me could not be more similar
on the other hand I enjoyed advent children
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Or maybe it's mario egg shooting dinosaur.
I wonder what happened to this Gabe.
his girlfriend being a lady he only met twice but obsessed over his whole life
That would require admitting that I actually know the complete contents of the work in question and not just what has seeped into pop culture.
KH2-throughwhatever: how would I know, I'm not playing another.
I haven't read the Divine Comedy in years, but I've been found of the creative use of mythology. Still, Dante would have had a YouTube series dedicated to narrating his work in a mocking tone had he wrote the thing today.
