Alternately, we can begin the age-old argument: the Summer vs Winter Olympics, a classic confrontation between the Aussies and the Canadians.
(But for real, Summer is better.)
The last time the Olympics were in full swing, I was lucky enough to have attended a few games myself and, living in China at the time, got to watch pretty much every freakin' event broadcast live on TV. Unfortunately this is NOT going to happen this time around, since it's not in my timezone anymore and also Channel Nine in Australia is apparently very well known for showing fuck-all of the events I actually give a shit about.

This is what happens when your designers are reporting to a highly politicized board of directors.
You end up with something that tries so hard to be inclusive and inoffensive and please everybody that it ends up ridiculously ambiguous, and represents nothing except itself.

My loyalties in pretty much all the Olympics since 2000 have been solely China's.
I can probably share with Australia a bit since the Aussie men's volleyball team made it to the Olympic round (and knocked the Chinese men's team out in the process).
But really, I just love watching the Olympics.
