Youtube videos not working in Firefox.

Having a bit of a weird problem here. Going to the site www.youtube.com in firefox is not loading the video for me (just a black screen) but going to https://www.youtube.com works just fine. But if I were to click on an embedded youtube video on facebook or on a blog comment it won't load for me. Other flash things work for me though, such as the PA ads.

I've been trying different methods:
-Clearing Cache and cookies
-restarting in safe mode (Doesn't work)
-making a new firefox profile

It's the same problem for internet explorer. Now I heard that there is something up with adobe flash version 11.3 thats causing the problem for firefox 3.0. Some say to fix it you have to disable the realplayer addons for fire fox, but I don't have RealPlayer on my computer.
Other people say I have to install RealPlayer and check a box in options and YT vids should work fine after that. But, I don't want to install RealPlayer. So checking on another computer that works perfectly fine for YT videos I noticed it has flash version 10.3.

Now my question is if anyone has any other ideas on what I could do to fix this little problem before I uninstall flash 11.3 and install the 10.3 version? I really hope this fixes it but willing to try any other ideas.

It's a flash update problem. I had the same problem and ended up rolling back to the previous version.

Have you tried turning off Flash 11.3's new "protected mode" or whatever it's called? Just yesterday I was having issues with Flash crashing pretty much EVERY TIME I tried to fullscreen an embedded video, and (knock on wood) disabling that new "feature" seems to have fixed the problem. See the "last resort" section here. Do be aware that disabling this is disabling a new security feature in Flash, but it was driving me nuts to have Flash constantly crash and I run NoScript anyway so I'm okay with this.

So I installed the older version and it still wasn't quite working. (Videos played but in low res and some buttons at the bottom were missing)

I said fuck it and might as well download the current version and edit the protected mode file and apparently they updated to like 11.3.300 or something and everything works fine now. No editing what-so-ever.
