Alright, Pillar of the Community get.

And I've managed to skate by only picking up the SpaceChem DLC, and the Sword of Islam thing for CK2. Just over $3 total. I was thinking about getting the Indie bundle but upon inspection of my library I already own all the games in it except for the Bacon one. Huh.

So yeah....happy sale, everyone! Spend and gift responsibly.

I read someone theorize that the votes will change as each flash deal ends, the newest elected game takes the place of the most recently ended flash sale while the new voting goes up shortly after to decide the next flash deal. Something like that.

Hmm...I've always wanted to check out one of the Total War games, but I never have, because I can never decide which one to get when they're on sale. How likely am I to regret picking up Shogun 2 (sans expansions and DLC)? Is it one of the better entries in the series?

Voted for Witcher 2. Wow, I've been buying my games the wrong way. I guess I've gifted more than bought for myself, because it says I only have $50 worth of games I own? It's strange because I've given away at least 5 games when they were full price.

I really didn't like it. Not one bit. The gameplay is awkward and the locations just never feel real, as in, I constantly felt like I was playing a game and there was zero immersion. And that just doesn't work for a horror game.

I'm eyeing Shogun 2 myself. Does it have naval combat? Because I HATED that in N:TW

My problem with Shogun 2 was that the load times were so long on my computer that the game was basically unplayable IMO. We're talking well over a minute just to start a battle. And though my computer wasn't state of the art, it wasn't trash either - it could play the typical PS3/360/PC multi-platform release just fine. Hoping to give it another try when I get a better computer.

You won't regret it, it's really cool (stay away from the naval fights) and one of the better entries in the series

it does, but it's generally smaller scale than napoleon

there is a demo available that includes a naval encounter
