Quantum Conundrum JUST came out. 33% off is a good deal for that.
But it's sure making me feel like I should never buy any games that aren't on sale, ever again.

Some little things: @testsubject23 saw a lack of Borderlands in my inventory and fixed that serious problem with class, meanwhile I also won the Tribes starter pack from steam username "R0land1188" whom I completely forgot the name on this forum and this is a shame.
Was the Batman stuff on sale like this before the flash sale, or is the sale just the 82% off for the franchise bundle? I see everything non bundled is 66% off. I could use the Harley DLC, but if there's no hurry I'll get it at the end of the sale.
The 66% discount on the non-bundled games and DLC is also part of the flash sale, so if you want the Harley DLC, snag it in the next 10 hours.
Can do and can did. Also grabbed all of the DLC short of the costume pack. Wasn't my original plan, but the prices were right.
I have a system when I don't care about the vote games. I look at all 3 in the Steam app and vote for the one that has the largest number of steam friends wanting it.
That was Quantum this time.

I just finished the second episode of Walking Dead last night. The game is as disturbing as the comics, which is about the highest compliment I could give it. Shame that the controls are a little clunky sometimes.
The whole GFWL thing is dumb. So many people complain about it. But I have never had a problem with it and neither has anyone I know. Not playing one of the best games of the year because of it is ridiculous. Just buy it and enjoy the amazing game that is Batman AC.
@Iolo, the classiest of the classy. It was as if everything in my backlog/game-quilt cried out in terror and was suddenly silenced by the gift of Civ V. Oh my. Just one more turn.
'Tis funny, I've been eyeing up your game list for a couple of days, pondering what to ninja-bombard you with, (your wishlist is unacceptably devoid of stuff!), and now I owe your classiness even more! Thanks muchly!

I had to jump through too many hoops to get GTA IV to run after purchasing it last year. And I generally don't approve of DRM at the expense of legitimate customers. So it's mostly about the principle of the matter. Which is part of the reason I hadn't played it already, it had a bunch of pretty sleazy launch issues.
If I have never tried a Civilization game, which one should I buy if I don't want to get the collection?
I'd go for 5, that's what I'm doing.

The gift war between @cardboard delusions and myself is heating up with a Batman:Arkham City hitting me from the shadows, I will counter-attack when it is least expected. @Malakaius being the dapper gent he is gave me the Skins pack for said game so I can dress Batman up all pretty like.
@AerynKelly feels I must play Divine Divinity, and so I shall thanks to her generous gift.

I've lost a bunch of saves thanks to GFWL so any game that uses it at this point, is something I'll comfortably avoid. It's not like there's a shortage of good games, so I don't really think people will regret not playing Arkham City.
How naive I was thinking 250GB would be enough for games.
Your Steam folder fits on that? Mine takes up more than half of my 1TB drive. Then again, I'm not great about uninstalling games I won't be playing again soon.

I had to play Batman AC with offline account because GFWL didn't accept my Steam cd key. Apparently it's a rather common problem, too. The game is good, whole GFWL *is* dumb.

Quantum Conundrum is Portal but instead of opening portals between spots, you change dimensional properties. Fluffy dimension makes stuff super light, Other dimensions make stuff super heavy and immobile. Antigravity dimension makes things float, etc. You use those to solve puzzles in a big mansion while Q from Star Trek talks to you as a disembodied voice from somewhere else, like GlaDos. Tiny and Big is a 3d platformer game, but you get different tools to change the world around you. Get a laser that cuts huge swathes of geometry, you get a hook that can pull it down. Like if you need to cross a bridge, you can use your laser to cut the side of a mountain peak off, then pull that down and use it as a landbridge. Its also puzzle like.

Grimrock's discount is the same I think. Not that it makes it much better.
So how's the port of LA Noire? I've heard mixed opinions on it. This might be too taxing a game to handle, unless it turns out it's well optimized.
As for Painkiller, can I just get Black? Never played any of them but it seems Black is the most popular choice.

To ruin his life with.
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

Shogun 2 seems to download the expansions and the main game as one and I'm not sure how to check for Civ 5.

Sadly they won't let you buy the DLC unless you have the base game.

In your Steam library, right click a game, click properties, and check the DLC tab.
I want AC, I'm just trying to decide which DLC to include. I'll probably just include Harley and the costumes.
And yes, LA Noire is a fantastic presentation with a great story. The question is whether it runs well on PC.
Also, just get Painkiller Black?
And I am also debating an offer to get Grimrock for $6.
Steaaaaaam!

Yeah, at that price, you should get 5.
