Strange issue, using most recent version of Chrome.

Links that are posted are getting the current thread appended to the beginning of the url.

So a link to http://readingisforsnobs.blogspot.com/2012/07/republican-strategist-mary-matalin.html

When clicked is taking me to http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/comment/readingisforsnobs.blogspot.com/2012/07/republican-strategist-mary-matalin.html

At first I thought it might be user error, but it happened in three separate instances by different posters.

Might still be user error though.

A couple of posts where it happened:

http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/164004/city-of-steam-alpha-test-key-giveaway/p1

EDIT: Hmm, looks like it doesn't happen if I post the url outright, maybe...

Pretty sure it's... well, not "user error" per se, but basically I'm guessing that if people don't use "http://" when putting in the URL for a link (using the URL tag), Vanilla is considering the link to be to an internal page (hence the URL being added to the end of the post URL). This seems like unintended behavior, or at least behavior that users wouldn't want. I think the URL tag should be set up to assume people aren't linking to stuff on the forums, since even if they WERE linking something on the forums they'd probably copy-paste the link anyway, realistically.

Not writing a proper link is a user error, yes.
