I have a HP desktop computer that has windows VISTA (awful awful program) and it will not turn on you plug it into the wall and sometimes very seldomly the green light in the back will pop on and quickly turn off when you try to power it on. Is this an internal problem with the computer not being able to hold charge? A hard drive problem? Or a wicked virus?
Your power suppy is most likely bad. I would open the case unplug the old supply and try a known working one. It does not have to fit into the case to test if the old supply is bad, just hang it off the side of the case.
