Skype is so unwieldy for group chatting I feel. As far as I know, there isn't just a server waiting for you to join and hang out in. You have to ask around to get invited to an existing chat or start inviting people yourself. Vent or Teamspeak are my preferred options for voice communication with a group of people.

This, as well as Skype just being a pretty butts program yeah. Also pros use Mumble.
I'm playing my guardian more again, the changes between like, the first couple weeks of GW2 and now have been so good to the class.
Just have to buy my chest piece and I'll have a full Tier 1 sylvari set, which is probably what I'll transmute until I can afford Tier 3. Fuck legendaries I'm spending all my gold on dye and expensive armor.
