eBay + PayPal fees

So my auctions have ended about 2 weeks ago, and have already received/cleared all payments to my PayPal account. I am a bit confused on the fees for eBay and PayPal. I know that eBay charges about 9% in fees and about 2 or 3% with PayPal... but I have added up all the numbers and none of them match what is posted or adds up to the account balance. For example, there is a very slight (off by a few cents) difference in the eBay account balance versus what I have added up manually on the fees (for both the listing and shipping). On the PayPal side, from transferring funds from the winning bidders to my PayPal account, there seems to be a small chunk of money missing. So naturally I thought the money missing was from the automatic deduction of PayPal's fees (the money missing was no where near the eBay "final value" and/or shipping fees), but when I added up each of the transaction fees for PayPal, it did not match the money that was missing (the fees added up to more than what was missing)?

Also, I have not received the "official" invoice for the eBay fees yet, so maybe that would clear some things up. I'm just a little unhappy at how confusing and not strait-forward everything is involving this situation. Maybe it would also help if they totaled up the fees and the money I am supposed to get from the auctions, like any other normal bank or business would, instead of having me add and calculate everything up myself and try to figure out their system of hidden fees myself.

I have received an invoice for PayPal but all it lists is information that is already shown on the account information/summary. No "pay this amount now" or anything. Just a list of what I have received and the fees deducted from it... but the total fees does not add up to what has already been deducted (it is more than what has been deducted/missing).

I have calculated carefully all the numbers at least half a dozen times, and tried different theories to make sense of this, but to no avail.

Sorry if this post is a bit confusing. I tried my best to make as much sense as possible.

Paypal deducts their share immediately and ebay takes their fees monthly. Also, they both take a cut from your shipping fees these days too. I usually just transfer about 75% into my bank account right away, and then whatever's left of the rest after ebay takes its cut.

Yes that was what I was assuming but then the total PayPal fees listed added up to way more (almost 3x more) than the fee that was deducted?

Not to cause further confusion, here is an example of my situation.
EXAMPLE: PayPal auto-deducts $50 in fees, but when the total PayPal fees are added up from each auction to confirm the fees, it turns out that PayPal was supposed to deduct $150 total.

Of course you may think, then why complain? Because I need pretty much every penny I can get for now, and can not wait to confirm if that is all that they will deduct, or if there is more deductions on the way - before I transfer the remaining available funds to my bank.

Not all transactions take the same percentage. Like I think selling electronics has a different fee from selling comic books. Also, some things will take like 9% from the first $50 and then something like 6% from anything over that.

Paypal deducts all their fees immediately. You don't have to worry about Paypal deducting additional fees later on. (eBay, on the other hand, will deduct their fees monthly as Mushroom said.)

As for Paypal's actual fee schedule? It's black magic. I can't figure it out. That's part of the reason Paypal sucks IMO - there's absolutely no reason a transaction verification service can't have an easy fee schedule accurately published to their website.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
