Yeah I still think Romney has a huge shot at winning this election.

It's Romney's race to lose right now, he definitely has the edge over Obama when it comes to attacks, enthusiasm and funding.
Funding yes, but the attack ads I've seen from the Obama side have been pretty devastating and most polls and projections still have Obama leading and winning pretty handily.

So I'm not sure how it's Romney's race to lose at all.

It's not. Romney's not leading in any polls, and the electoral college heavily favors Obama.
Ok cool, that was my impression. But I wasn't sure if that was just my bias speaking.

Romney's campaign so far has been absolutely awful.

Romney is very good friends with a guy who once paid tony hawk as a sponsor to his product

the first poll here from Politico is the only one where they're close, I don't know what's up with it

everything else, from CNN to Fox to Pew, has them at least seven points apart

All I know is I’m not watching the pubbie convention this time around.

I got so pissed off, drunk and angry after watching it four years ago I immediately threw a hundred bucks at the DNC.

Need to hide all my credit cards from myself the night before just to make sure I don’t do that again because if I hear Chris Christie utter two words I may lose it.

i know this isnt a very christian statement but would any of you chip in to a kickstarter to crucify the Conservative Brony guy

when i say crucify i dont mean demonizing or insensitive, incensing language

i mean nailing him to a cross

Go old school stoning and you have a deal.

the problem with stoning is the variable size of the stones and the varying strength of each individual thrower. now, if everyone were given very small stones of a decent weight and he were anchored with a chain with room enough for the illusion of possibly eluding some stones, then we might have something.

but thats a logistical nightmare. maybe that can be the third to last milestone. he is stoned before the crucifixion

Welp CNN's apparently going to start showing reality shows because their channel sucks.

Maybe they won't be as bland as 95% of their content already is.

Why won't dream Romney release his T.H.U.G. records? What does he have to hide? And why so little data about Pro Skater 1 and 2? Can we really trust and identify with a man who can't even perform a simple 1080 Christ Air?

the last polls I heard about had Romney ahead in the popular vote within the margin of error

meaning it's close and Romney is likely dominating in red states like he's expected to

Romney winning the popular vote and Obama winning the electoral is not terribly far fetched this year, and oh so many Gore voters will feel cleansed

Rasmussen and Gallup have Romney ahead by 2 or 3 points, which is fairly normal for them I think.

Fox News has Obama up by 9. Color me shocked by that one.

Devo are set to release a track later this month entitled "Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Remember Seamus)." It is inspired by Mitt Romney's notorious road trip from Massachusetts to Ontario, during which he transported the family dog, Seamus, in a kennel strapped to the roof of his station wagon.

    [...]
The track also comes as Devo's founder and commercial director, Gerald V. Casale, kicks off his Remember Seamus campaign, which is supposed to help "make 2012 the year where animals like Seamus are valued and honesty is praised."

Looked at this thread from forum view for a while wondering, "Do I really want to look in there?" Eventually decided to skim it. Better than I was expecting, good OP, but still too D+D-ish for my tastes. And probably a month too soon to start feeling good or panicked over poll numbers.

I made the thread two years ago about two months out, but that ended up being boring for several weeks because it was only midterms. This year there's more interest due to the presidential race, but the money and commercials allocated for the general can't start in earnest until after the conventions.

And I'm not all that interested in matching ponythread's title to fit the meme.

I don't know, I have already started to get the commercials pretty heavily. But I am in Colorado so that probably explains it.

when you can't get within five points of your opponent in the polls, it's not your race to lose

Let me tell you something about dbrock.

He has already decided that Romney is guaranteed to win. He decided that months ago. Now no matter whats really going on he'll cherry pick the few facts that support his position.
