I just bought a Compaq LTE 5380 laptop for playing old DOS and Windows games on, but I wondered if there's any kind of wireless solution for such a decrepit laptop as well.
I'd be using Windows 95, so I'm not sure if that already cripples my plans for using wireless (although I imagine it would to an extent). Apparently the LTE 5000 class does not feature a 32-bit Cardbus interface on the PCMCIA slots, so that means I'm probably limited there as well.
Any ideas on how I'd go about wirelessly networking something like this? Or maybe suggestions on some PCMCIA cards that are compatible?
I doubt you'll find a driver with windows 95 support, but you should be able to for win98se. Have you thought about using the os you need with virtual pc. Both 2k4 and 2k7 are free from Microsoft. Of course, you wouldn't have the advantage of being able to bring those games with you when you travel.

I've actually messed with the VMWare player, and the games work just fine but I really would rather have this psuedo-portable solution.

Would that function in Windows 95?

Do you think that will work? They act like the drivers are for Windows 95, and the card should fit because it doesn't use the 32-bit Cardbus.
