So This year we're having our annual Halloween party, and something I'd really like to do is make a life size Slenderman to prop out in the yard so when people pull in their headlights will hit it in the distance and creep them out.
Basically I've never been crafty, or good at building things which is why I want to get an early start on this. Does anyone have any idea as to the best way to go about this? I think it would be easiest to paint a suit on a frame than to find a real suit. However that's about as far as I've gotten. With the realease of the various Slenderman games this has been a long running fear in our group and think it would be perfect. All help is appreciated.
Me and my friends have gotten some decent suits from Good Will, or was it Salvation Army?
They weren't amazing, but they were perfect for cosplay and cheap as dirt.
The hardest part about using suits is I'd like this to be a 7-8 foot tall Slender Man. Unless I could put pairs of slack together to make them the right length.
You can make quick suit with cloth, scissors and a stapler. Cheapest would be if you have some old dark curtains, bed sheets, moth-eaten old tent or some kind of tarp. Big black plastic garbage bags might work too as a last resort. Just need something vaguely suit shaped that moves with the breeze.

That gives me an idea - you could cut long strips of black trash bags and attach them to Slender's back, then put some kind of cheap box fan behind him to get moving shadow-tentacles. Wouldn't hold up to close scrutiny, but it doesn't really need to.
True. I'm hoping to put this off in the distance, just so you KNOW what you see, but can't see any details.
I think black cardboard silhouettes with white painted on for the face will suffice. I have boxes at work that are fairly large that can be flattened and cut out. Thanks everyone!
