Well, apparently the Light Puck is replaced with you alternating attacks with your partner when you call them in, which builds your Sync rate and lets you do your Fusion (you build stars in the Fusion, which determines which move you use, and how much the Drop rate of the Noise is multiplied if the Fusion kills them.)
Anyone know a way to make the irregular Note set not suck? I tried using them, the Gatito pin, and Peace Full, but it doesn't really work well for me.
I wish I actually remembered what they do.
When you have all four, the pins start floating slowly and randomly around the screen. Tapping one uses up a bit from all four, and sends a bullet from that pin to each of the others in turn, then back to the one you tapped. You can, as with any pin, move them to where you want them in the pause menu, but when you unpause, they start floating around again. They can be boosted in power by taking the Gatito pin. They're neither positive nor negative.
The price point by itself isn't a big deal, but if exposure is what's they're looking for, $18/20 in the iOS app store is a surefire way to lose a lot of potential buyers. Not being a universal app makes it an even worse deal for those with multiple devices (I would guess that demographic would likely be the same one willing to buy at this price point, as well).
As long as we see more original work in the twewy universe, I can't really complain....I'll just continue supporting their publishing arm that put out Deus Ex & Sleeping Dogs in the meantime.
Is the remixed soundtrack available by itself? And is the rumor of a reprint of the DS version true?
Because if it is, I'd rather show support of those two things in particular. I really have little-to-no need for the iOS port, unless it turns out that new stuff was added that explains more story.
Has anyone who has the Solo Remix reached Tigris Cantus yet?
I know I balked earlier, but while thinking about it, the TWEWY art probably looks gorgeous on the iphone/ipad screens. Not enough to convince me to repurchase it, especially with what I consider essentially gimped gameplay (the back and forth had this sort of entrancing rhythm to it for me, it was difficult but very rewarding). Its probably still fun but thinking about it just makes it seem like a step back.
So, I just played a bit of TWEWY because of all of this recent discussion and disappointment. And man, I have played this game a lot. I wish I could start a new game without deleting my 100% save file or buying a new copy.
Is there really no way to re-fight the pigs? It looks you can throw away the pins you get from them, and it would kinda suck for someone if they cashed in a pin with no way to get another one of those.
Lots of fun. The only reason I'm not playing right now is because I need some shutdown XP and to let bellies empty. I find the rhythm pretty easy to get down, now that I'm dabbling in slightly more advanced bits (sub pins and higher-level fusions and the like).
I don't know what to believe anymore. I just... I wish squenix was a singular entity that I could punch in the face. Companies are people, right? I should be able to punch them for being so damn cryptic and jerk-like.

Both the iPad and iPhone versions show up on iTunes as 589 MB. If they're using the same assets in both versions, then I can't think of a scenario where the user gains anything from this not being Universal.

I swear to god, if this is not a TWEWY sequel this time (or on another fucking iphone) I will murder someone. (if it's Vita exclusive I might still murder someone :P)
I mean, I figured a link was the right thing, since it is a post-credits spoiler.
Then again, it doesn't spoil anything about the original game, so whatevs.
...Hold up now, doesn't this mean the guy telling us to wait until after the countdown was done was telling the truth? In a roundabout, maddeningly cryptic, and half-a-lie fashion?

So I guess there's that.

So apparently it's better than the DS version according to them.

Not happening. I don't own a DS, and I have zero interest in owning one. I'd buy a PS3 or an X-Box first.
Anyhow, fwiw, I've decided that I won't be getting it.

It's IGN so I'm sure this version gets bonus points for not being associated with Nintendo hardware.
I got a little excited when I saw your ship.
Actually no, that one might generate some minute interest, as opposed to zero. Oh well, back to not needing a 3DS until EO4!

Well 18 dollars is relative, isn't it? I mean, the original game, people thought was definitely worth more than twice that, on the DS...

Not sure about the standalone soundtrack but the DS reprint is true.

I don't read reviews that are basically a list.
You say as if it means anything in the game review business.

Mm, so the iPassonthis doesn't have rhythm-gamey elements?
