feel like I should embark into spicy mixed drinks to make up for lost time

probably plenty of drinks with cayenne pepper or tabasco sauce

One time me and a friend decided to celebrate a wedding with an open bar by drinking in order of the colors of the rainbow

    R - Bay breeze
    O - 7 and 7
    Y - mimosa
    G - Midori Sour
    B - Blue lagoon
    I - Rum and coke
    V - purple rain

The indigo was just random, we couldnt decide. I made it through like twice, spilling drinks all around, and can barely remember the night. I love weddings

Awww yiss, girl drinks. One of my favorites is a cherry bomb, which is vodka, grenadine and creme de cocoa with some lemon juice. Black cherry vodka also works well in the flavor department if you want a clear drink.

Oh man bloody marys are awesome. Not really a girl drink I don't think. But I'm the only person I know who likes them regardless of gender.

Yeah, if you're just looking to get drunk at a bar those and martinis are the cheapest route. Girl drinks are when you want to spend over $50 at a place and not get tipsy.

as long as they don't stiff you on the shot sizes
or do what this one bar did on our research retreat, which was get down a bottle labelled "long island iced tea" mix (green, for some horrific reason) and throw roughly two shots of that into some coke

    my god.

There's a cocktail at a bar near me which is basically a Long Island ice tea but with the same volume again of sparkling wine. I could drink those babies all night.

Also anything with gin or ginger beer. We've got some sloe gin at home which matured for over a year before we fished the sloes out - it's incredibly strong-tasting, but great with lemonade.

    It really was.
Their wine was terrible too. And the whole lot was obscenely overpriced.

    Worst retreat ever.

My sister's boyfriend worked as a bartender in my college town after I had graduated and left. I was back in town to visit friends and we dropped by the bar where he worked to do some drinking and karaoke.

I said my hellos to him and put in an order for an LIT. When he brought it out to me, he winked. I thought it was a bit odd but the drink didn't look weird so I took it to my table and kind of forgot about it for a while until I started drinking it, and I'm fairly certain it was a glass of pure alchohol with about half a shot of coke so that it was brown.

Long story short I sang "Wanted Dead or Alive" shirtless and lost my wallet in a ditch.

One of my roommates always pulled this on me and whoever I brought in to his bar. He'd use the absolute bare minimum of coke to get the coloring right, and even then, it was a pretty light brown. A few of those in rapid succession had a couple of friends of mine participating in the open mic night with fantastic results.

Skittle vodka is pretty damn good. As with every very sweet tasting alcoholic drink, its kinda easy to forget you're knocking back 40% abv stuff, and then you just wind up super drunk super fast.

this is why i need an Adult to keep an eye on me because i will get drunk as all FUCK

Vodka sprite with a splash of grenadine.

It's a little simple to be strictly girly but you put the grenadine at the end and it looks like you're drinking a red and clear gummy worm.

Also a friend and I were discussing if gin and tonic had a gender. He was suggesting it's a lady's drink but I'm pretty sure it's genderless.

nah, Long Islands have a little less than half mixer, it should be around 22% alcohol when it's made. Potent, but not quite just drinking it straight.

    Really?

I have never met a bartender who agreed with those sort of figures.

Yeah it's true. All of the liquors in a long island are clears, and it should only have enough coke to make it the colour if iced tea.

That is: hardly any. But a lot of the mixer is simple syrup and sour mix.

    15 ml (three parts) Vodka
    15 ml (three parts) Tequila
15 ml (three parts) White rum
15 ml (three parts) Triple sec
    15 ml (three parts) Gin
25 ml (five parts) Lemon juice
30 ml (six parts) Gomme Syrup
    Splash of Coke

I had a couple weeks at the beginning of summer where I was hardcore making cocktails, we're talking every night here.

Waking up a couple days in a row hungover isn't very fun, I stopped drinking for a while after that.

Turns out drinking out of boredom is okay, but not for days in a row!

Can't wait until I get my apartment all set up, gotta get a decent liquor selection up in that place

^^ I just drank a Sioux City Sarsaparilla the other night. Up until then I had thought it was a made up drink for the movie.

Also, if White Russians are a girl's drink, I am screwed--I mean in the club!

I love girl drinks. Last night I had a few pina coladas then proceeded to consume jello shots in the manner of normal jello

I came out of blackout standing by the bar ordering shots of soco with a friend of mine
