Anyone have experience with this application? I don't have the ability to put a satellite dish on my apartment and as a Chicago Bears fan living in Boston, MA my options for Bears games is pretty limited.
I was thinking about trying out this subscription, but wanted to see if anyone here has used it in the past?
I am in the business of saving lives.

I used it last year and I loved it.
Week 1 was janky as hell. Constant buffering issues etc etc
But after that everything worked pretty well. I have some bandwidth issues (I can only really utilize about 1 mpbs sustained downloads on a 6 mbps max DSL line, but it's free to me) and it still looked good a to me.
The value you get in not having to go out to bars and spend money on bar food and bar drinks makes it one of the most money saving purchases we've done.
$299 sounds awfully steep for one season. I was considering just doing Red Zone, but I find that kind of coverage to be really jarring. Who gives a damn about a 5 yard goal line run when you didn't see the two swing passes that set up the run, etc.
I'm a Bears fan who recently moved to Honolulu. I went ahead and bought Sunday Ticket a couple nights ago, since my only other option would be hitting sports bars at 7am for noon games back in Chicago. I read enough good things about it that I feel fine with the purchase, especially since I can now also follow all of my fantasy players at will.
I'm just glad it was made available through PS3. I had no interest in DirecTV.

It's either stay at home and watch whatever games are available or go out to a bar and watch games I want to.

Do you have a south facing balcony, patio, or patch of ground? As long as you have a clear line of sight to the Clarke Belt you can use a satellite without mounting it to a roof. You can have it installed on a pole on the ground, or (as a worst case scenario) have it on a pole that is sitting in a bucket filled with concrete.
You should check with your landlord/rental company and see what their stance is on poles, and if they're ok with it you can always call DirecTV and make an appointment for an installation. If the tech can't find a spot with a good enough signal than your order gets canceled and you aren't charged.
If you sign up at certain times of the year you can get the Sunday Ticket thrown in for free, although you have to deal with DTV for two years.

A friend has it. We had a big party and were able to watch the televised games on the tv and had the PS3 hooked up to a HD projector. Fantastic. Is it worth the cash? Not for me but I certainly appreciated someone else getting it.
Just know that if your team is for whatever reason being shown on ANY local channels, you WILL be blocked out. Not so much an issue late in the season but early on I know around here I get three or four different games that are blocked out.
I've had pretty bad buffering issues. Generally pausing every 30 seconds for about 3 seconds or so which is really annoying. I have a good connection to my internet, so hopefully it's just a week 1 thing as mentioned before.
Didn't have much use for the Red Zone channel unless there wasn't any one game that I was interested in.
I didn't have any buffering issues at all during week 1 games. An initial few seconds when I first turned a game on, and then everything was fine. The HD was a little better than I expected too.
All in all I'm quite happy with things so far.

We had a bunch of hiccups during the late afternoon games. Simply had to re-select the game we were watching to clear it up. I mostly blame the POS cable modem my friends have.

Had a great first week with only a handful of buffers
