Web Censoring Software

As many of you know, tomorrow is the start of the NCAA basketball tourney. All of the first round games are being broadcast, for free, on the internet. However, the lovely company I work for apparently would rather I spend my day working instead of gambling on basketball and have installed WebSense blocking software.

Does anybody know a way to circumvent this crap? And if so, would it be blatantly obvious to anyone monitioring bandwith usage that I was streaming video on my computer all day?

It would be blantanly obvious and you would be reprimanded/terminated.

However if you don't give a... you can google "proxies" and find your answer. If your IT department is worth anything, they will probably have blocked those also.

Even if you hit a proxy server it would be easy to tell what you are doing.

If this was asked in H/A, the thread would be locked very quickly, I would be surprised if this doesn't happen here as well.

You could circumvent it, but it would be very obvious and you would still get caught. We therefore cannot recommend your doing so.

Locked for what reason? And seeing as how we just got a company wide email threatening us with termination if we get caught trying to watch/gamble from work, I'm probably going to have to behave myself. Thanks for the advice anyway!

Because the board doesn't condone illegal or rule-breaking type activities.

We lock threads were kids ask how to circumvent their school's blacklist. This is the same thing.
