I geared him for low-MP runs: I have 0 life replenishment outside of globes and no attack speed apart from Inna's pants right now. And like 400 resist all with OWE. Probably just going to stick with the WD for ubers for now. I have a feeling I would go splat in an MP8 uber game.
Maybe someday I will get the gear needed to do ubers well.
Dew knows you aren't geared for ubers. He's just trying to get someone to die like he did his first night doing them.
Spent I think around 16m on him, boots were a found item. He can do several things that I am a huge fan of:
1) Kill elites with one cast of Seven Sided Strike on MP1
2) Clean up trash without any effort with the Submission aura
3) Run around extremely quickly
Still need to craft a crit chance hellfire for him.
Side-note: If you're looking for cheap survivability on a belt, Life % is a great mod. 9% life was cheaper than 40 fire resist and more than twice the EHP, even with OWE.
Why foresight? OWE over fleet footed? only 3 SPS from gear makes me think you don't perma-whirl and use DR/foresight for the DMG. I know everyone uses thunderclap so I feel weird suggesting - but that sucker gets me out of jailer situations with faster spirit regen if ever I need it. Interested in your thinks.
Also why mp1? As I imagine you can do mp0 w/ fleetfoot instead of OWE
You can lock Faith in the Light and Deadly Reach damage into your sweeping wind, then keep that same SW up forever with Inna's bonus. The jailer affix hasn't been a big problem for me since most elite fights very short.
As for spirit, Inner Storm on SW plus Chant of Resonance gives me 6 spirit/sec on my skills, added with the 3 from gear and the 35% bonus from the Guardian's Path passive give me about 12 spirit/sec, and TR costs 11 spirit/sec. I just have to remember to stop grabbing those pesky Frenzy shrines. The guide goes over several variants that get you the regen you need. I'll probably try out the Cyclone/Circular Breathing variant at some point. To get both Cyclone and Submission I'd need to get a Xeph amulet with ~2 spirit regen and high crit chance, which is hella expensive.
I was doing MP1 because I was running through Inferno for the first time and was tired of getting terrible drops from act 2 monsters. Once I get to A3 I will see what it takes to replace OWE with fleet-footed.

I thought about my CMWiz and if I were to get Inna's, arcane is probably the most cost efficient way to spend that roll. Everything else is avoidable with teleport. Int isn't too bad in price but even a good roll will only get me about 10AR. Vit is what everyone wants so it starts at 5mil and is a no go.
Snagged a 30+ Arcane Res (only +8% IAS) for 840k. Gotta stack two ammy star's in there to make up for the 100 point loss in vit, so that's about 120 loss in INT but only 2k loss in DPS as I'm at 2.47APS; things move WAY less. Really hope I get lucky on an AR amulet to make up for the 70+ AR I loose as well - AR on gloves is not as cheap as I had hoped. Hoping for a LoH+AR upgrade on my Stormcrow but that will probably come after nat's boots/ring+cuni upgrade
also daaaaaaang armor on amulets is NOT cheap.
I'm also up roughly 40% in tendon damage. I thought spamming MoC:Overawe was a bit much....FreezeWhiz (every time I think of Cheesewiz) is nutso and I can't believe Blizzard won't give a hard "no you won't get banned for macros."
tl;dr - MY CHEESEWIZ IS A PHOENIX! PREPARE FOR IT'S RISE!!
Ooh, all resist on the witching hour is pretty good. Also seven sided strike is hilarious killing inferno bosses in one cast.
Doing MP0 with 177 resist all (and 404 fire resist) actually worked halfway decently. Though I was in real trouble when I came across a reflect pack when SSS was on cooldown.

Bought some legacy Inna's Glory pants today for 600K. I think I paid a bit too much for them, but that's okay. They were the only ones with move speed, attack speed, armor, and vitality above 100 on the auction house. Now my wizard's APS is above 2, yay!
yea!! Made 2.5mil on a calamity! I really didn't think anybody used dual wield because of the manticore. Except that one guy you dudes made fun of. Sorry dude they made fun of, we can be friends!
So I got to play half a game last night before my internet took a dump on me. Preliminary results of the SSD are promising though. I still had stuttering while caching on my first few fights, but it wasn't the death causing pauses that I got on my 1TB Spinpoint. So I guess the take away here is that Diablo is like Apple. You can solve any of your problems you are having with it by throwing money at it.

..... substitute Apple for "all technology" and I'd agree
I've noticed for some dumb reason that those caching loads are non existent when in windowed mode.
I was actually able to fund a lot of my leveling gear on my HC WD off of some shitty legendary level 16 chestpiece that I found. Hardcore marketplace is weird.
I'm guessing that "shitty" legendary chestpiece had some combination of good stats, sockets, and +XP, though? That kind of stuff is money.
Both of the belts I got were total shit. The first one sold at 5k after expiring at 6k. I put up the new one last night for 9k, as a slightly better one was up for 10k, and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even sell. The problem is those belts have almost nothing going for them for what the HC market desires. No +XP, no survival stats (besides some bonus armor), only usable by one class. Shit like +Fury is all but useless before 60, and even then it's not a strong bonus. There are also plenty of them up on the AH, since they're not that desirable and thus not that many people are buying them.
I've sold a couple well rolled +primary stat +XP blues for more than I'll get from these two belts combined. I've gotten over 100k for some nice low level rares, too.

It was an Aquila Cuirass with a socket and two low-value stats (thorns and globe health, I think?), along with a low vit roll.
Well, vit and socket are good. People probably actually like MF when HC leveling since it's harder to get good gear and that means more shit will drop!
Hey gents, I'm returning from a hiatus and I'm wondering what people run to farm gear/gold nowadays?
I'm playing a wizard, archon build ATM, and plodding through Alkaizer runs for the paragon xp and because that's all anyone talks about anymore but is there a different run that's more optimized for farming money/gear?
Im so glad I waited until the weekend and put to put this up.
If I had put it up during the week when I found it, the buyouts were in the mid 3-5mil range. I put my bid price at 3mil I think, and buyout...that would be 35mil right? [2,750,000=x-(x*0.15)? ....liberal arts education...]
I think someone did a "make this guy happy for Christmas" type thing...and it worked. Is biggest item sale for me! Nobody is even bidding on the inna which I think is probably because no resists.
^^^ that's terrible but awesome that she finally found 2! Now she's gonna have the itch even more now that she's seen that orange glow from the sky
Inna's I found earlier sold for 40mil after tax; so with 3 other random sales I'm at 77mil from the 3mil I started this weekend on @_@
I'M RICH! Time to learn when the best time to sell gold is.
Sell gold? Gold is going for about 35 cents per million right now. So if you sold that, you'd be looking at like, $27? More like $23 or so after blizz tax. Do you really need $23? Spend the millions on your wiz or some such

I'm trying to figure out why this sold for 30 mil
like good for you that it did
but I don't really understand why it went for so much

Me too. I'm boggled that sold for that much. While it's got CD and socket, the dps is so low, as is the CD that comes with it. Gratz on selling it though
Agreed - it doesn't make much sense because they were only 2-4mil when I checked. That's what the bid price was...That's why I think it was some kind of generosity Some kind of AWESOME generosity
And I will spend some on my wiz, maybe monk if I spot something to get my DPS to do MP4 with any decent speed. BUT! I figure it'd be good to find out what things sent the price of gold up ala how EE goes up to about 1k every weekend so that when I do manage to break into the hundreds of goodness-me-@bwanie-made-400-million I'll be able to maximize the amount of salmon I can purchase....cuz that stuff ain't cheap!
Also... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE! :d I hope you get to hug someone today. and then again tomorrow.
I've gotten 3 legendaries today on my not-level-60 monk, who is playing in MP0. Loot server :rotate:
One of them was a fantastically rolled Chaingmail, too. 2 sockets, 76 int, 85 vit, 15 all resist. Comparable items are listed at 4M, but it's a level 36 piece of gear so I highly doubt they will ever sell like that.

Shhhhhh.

You can almost permastun everything even in inferno.

Speaking of stupid fucking bullshit, my HC WD got his second legendary drop last night.
The first one, back in like Act 2 Normal, was a shitty mighty belt.
What dropped last night in Act 1 Nightmare? A shitty mighty belt.
I'm getting trolled.
also - I hate that I saw your crappy mighty belt and thought THAT'S AWESOME! and then realized that it's a mighty belt...and unusable by my CM Wiz =(

Which was funny because she's been playing since May and had gotten none. Then she got two in the same night last night.
So I finally can stop hearing about how much the RNG hates her.

Kind of low DPS (1286), but it's got a great life on kill amount and a perfect crit damage roll.

absolutely. I've sold8 items in the last 48 hours which is more than I've sold in the last 48 DAYS. 2 almost simultaneously on the RMAH
It's a druid solstice miracle!
May all your drops be non-shitty legendaries.
