Wireless Internet for a weekend.

My brother is giving a charity concert and apparently the band requires internet access for that weekend and he asked me what was the best plan. Normally I can fix his computer or whatnot, but since I barely get enough signal to make calls out here, I don't know much about mobile internet.

I'm thinking that the best plan would be some kind of pay as you go access point. Or should it be possible to rent an access point instead of buying one.

I need advice on where to get started.

    I used Verizon's mobile hotspot after I moved and had no broadband for a while. Was a pretty good connection, and they prorated it for the days I was actually using it.
