Just curious, has anyone guessed correctly for the Whodunnit quest ("Won't be fooled again")? Is there actually a reward for getting it correct?
If you get it correct you get a slightly better version of the same revolver. I think if you chose wrong you get "The Law" and if you chose right you get the "Fast Law". Doesn't seem there's any logic to picking who did it though - if anything the dialogue misleads you by saying he had a shield. Not a bad revolver though if you can click fast enough.
Had two character about the same level do this quest and the one who got it right actually got the worse gun.
There is absolutely a way to figure it out.
The clues have a couple of red herrings and the puzzle actually depends on the UI in a clever way.
The actual answer:
The guy who has a shield but full health and isn't carrying a rocket launcher is the one what done it.
Should have kept away from Michael Mamaril in Sanctuary. Had a sweet 11 shooters revolver that I don't want to replace but Michael gave a pretty awesome pistol that serves as a grenade during reloads.
Imagine what "cheese' could exist if someone tried to copy Velveeta.
Tediore launchers are the greatest, because the launcher itself is a rocket. I thought I would just chuck it like the other guns, but nope. Give it a little spank and then *fwoosh* off it goes.
There's like a three way tie for my heart between Tediore, Maliwan and Vladof. Jakobs comes in at a very very close second.
One Eye Spy head + Vladof clothes on Maya is the greatest. Tanis head + Bandit War Paint is the second greatest.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Tediore guns are the new shit. I have a shitty smg, does 100 and something damage per shot, no fancy specials. I toss it at a badguy and it explodes for 3.4k damage.

I think if you guess wrong you get "The Law" and if you guess right it's "Fast Law", or maybe the other way around. They're almost the same though.
Either way it's a pretty good gun. The special text gives it 100% accuracy and almost no recoil while aiming. You can mow stuff down from a mile away if your aim is good and you can click fast. I basically use it as a sniper rifle on my zerker.
So the caravan random robberies you can do in the dust at times.
Is there any real good way to get the trunk on the top when you blow up the escorts besides bobbing around on your vehicle while trying to get the items and not fall off your vehicle or randomly hit the back or front of the vehicle which will instantly kill you.
Blow up his escorts and force him to stop. Jump up on his back bumper and then onto the roof. That's about it.

Salvador is apparently too short to do this. I managed to jump up there with Maya after about 50 tries...
There's something off about the positioning of the bumper and the height of the bus I think.

With all the love for Tiny Tina I'll just post this vid of her voice actress and her brother (who is a writer at Gearbox). It is a condensed version of a couple episodes of their show Hey Ash, Watcha Playin'?, which is a pretty hilarious series and you guys should check it out.

Basically, if he stops facing uphill, it'll be very hard to get up. If he stops facing downhill, it seems to be easier.
Also, he drives off after a bit, which has led to me chasing him across the desert after killing technicals more than once.
started true vault hunter mode, got zero up to lvl 36 by the time I first got to the sancuarty again. everything is MUCH harder to kill now that it scales to my level, it's nice to actually get XP again.
I still haven't found an orange, though we went and killed
rakkman
again and my friend snagged an orange pistol from him

I got some weird orange rocket launcher that flies out and hops around like a bunny (and explodes) when you reload it. Also a purple Torgue shotgun that shoots 4 explosive shells per shot and pretty much obliterates anything in close range. Does more damage than a rocket launcher.

for some reason they feel it necessary to play the same 40 second ad before every episode, which as you know, is only like 1-2 minutes long.
drives. me. crazy. (i watched the entire series over the weekend)

So I have a really bad habit of going "oh look at this new purple gun! I totally take this as my new pistol and sell my old reliable one". Then as I use said new purple I find I don't like it at all. The guns really are so vastly different.
Things I don't like so far:
Dahl snipers with burst
Pistols or other medium range weapons with slow moving projectiles.
Bandit shotguns with small clip sizes for what they fire.
I'm writing a review of borderlands 2 as a part of a writing class.
Would it be fair to say that of the main cast (heroes, villains and important side characters) Roland is the only heroic character while the others range from socially awkward anti-heroes to straight up evil?
Spoiler heavy ->
Which makes the intro pretty foreboding.
This ain't no place for no hero
This ain't no place for no better man
This ain't no place for no hero
To call home
Every good guy dies. Corporal Reiss, Roland, that Dahl Security captain (I'm not sure if she gets a name or not) etc.
On the "upside" this seems to be a pretty greek tale, where heroic warriors die clean deaths compared to the various horrific endings inflicted on most of the sociopaths on pandora.
I don't know, I think Mordecai and Lilith are fairly heroic. Brick is the only one who veers over into "anti-hero" territory with the bandit clan.
As far as the new characters, Sal, Axton and Zero obviously are not "heroes", and Maya is probably fuzzy as well, though more of a case can be made for her.
Cataclysm Siren just hit Cloud Kill and got a Splatter Witch mod with +2 Flicker. She works great with Maliwan snipers -- not as fun with short-range stuff.
I out level my guns so quick. It's like ooh, new story mission. Fuck, might as well be shooting spite wads now that they gained two levels, better go look for new guns.
Also, I died THREE TIMES going through the Bloodshot fortress to various fucking shield nomads. Whoever decided those should spawn in tight hallways needs a good swift kick in the happy sacks.

Aside from the recordings you get when you start the game, is there any more backstory that you get introduced to for the four playable characters? Because from those recordings while Sal and Zero both sound awfully non-heroic they are doing the whole "punishing the wicked" thing.
Also, you couldn't rule out kind of "unseen character development". Like, after the point where it becomes obvious that the Vault doesn't actually contain any riches inside of it, your major motivation becomes to stop Jack, so that could be construed as your character wanting to do something good for the sake of good (or just wanting to get revenge on Jack, I suppose).
I'm currently sitting on 8 skin unlocks,
A Tediore Customer Service each for the Siren, Gunzerker and Commando.
Vladof Sickle.. 3 copies for Sirens and 2 for Assassins.
If anyone wants one, let me know.

Each character has 4 additional backstory recordings scattered throughout a particular area; that is, all 4 will be in the same area, and each character's can be found in a different area.
You indeed cannot rule out unseen character development, but as it is, well, unseen, we won't know anything on that front until BL3 and so must go with what we have on hand.
Zero and Sal are doing the whole "punishing the wicked" thing but in more of an anti-heroic fashion.

1) I want an entire expansion only involving Tiny Tina as the quest giver for everything.
2) I want to upgrade my AI gun.
