Help with DSL modem and wireless router

I have a linksys E900 router and a motorola DSL modem from ATT.

The connection is handled in the modem but it's not a PPPoE connection. Not sure exactly what it is.

Here's the problem:

When the modem is hooked directly to the PC, I can turn the PC off and on and the connection will remain active.

When the modem is hooked to my Xbox, if the Xbox gets turned off I have to powercycle the modem to get it to work again. Can plug directly to the PC at this point and it works fine again. But can't go back to Xbox without powercycle.

When the modem is hooked to the router the PC, Xbox and WII all work fine. And as long as one of those devices is on the connection is fine with the rest if they get turned off and on. If I turn them all off, I have to powercycle the modem and reboot the router to get the connection active again.

Does that rambling make sense? Can anyone help me?

Please PA, you're my only hope

Kind of sounds like an ip address allocation problem. Not sure how the xbox and wii handle dynamic ip's, but I would check and make sure they are set up for that.

Will do. And is there something I should be looking for with IP allocation in the router? Or could/should I set an IP for each device in the router?
