Flash refuses to operate under Chrome

It seems lately every time I try to boot up something that uses flash, Google Chrome decides to throw a hissyfit. The page will start to load, and then I'll get a popup saying that there was an error in Chrome, with the text 0xc0000409 at location 0x00481b22. The page then sits there, and won't work. IE works fine, but I'd honestly prefer to use Chrome if it can be fixed.

Anyways, thanks in advance!

Have you tried doing a clean install of Flash yet? I mean, this could be a Chrome thing, but it's most likely that it's a "Flash is messed up on any browser that isn't IE" thing, because IE has its own version of Flash.

I don't know if this will solve the issue, but Chrome has it's own special version of Flash called Pepper Flash that adds a sandbox for extra security (but also lags behind the main Flash release when it comes to features/support).
You can try disabling it and see it that works (Flash will still work (and it will have more of the latest Flash features), it just won't have the sandbox running):

Tried the suggestion, but the error came up as soon as I tried to start it again. I was sure to write it down, though.

"The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location (0x00481b22)." It's definitely Chrome, but I still don't know what's causing it.

Hm, can you install Firefox and try the same pages just to verify that is a chrome thing and not a flash thing?

Any of these look like a similar problem? https://www.google.ca/search?q=flash+crashes+chrome&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I went ahead and installed Firefox and everything works. So this is a Chrome thing, and not a Flash thing. Turns out Firefox is a heck of a lot easier to work with than Chrome.
