One notification per thread until I visit pls

Please make one notification per thread until i visit the thread cause otherwise my notifications page gets swamped by just one popular thread. I only ever need one link even if there are 10 on the page.

This would greatly increase the efficiency of going to the newest post in popular threads for me.

I get swamped with notifications sometimes, too......and often they're just excessive. For instance, I'll get a message notification ... and then a separate notification that I have a message.

A "clear all notifications" button or something would be great.

As someone who obviously wades through a shitload of notifications I also think this would be pretty keen. I can't say that there aren't higher priorities on the list at the moment though.

You can also just turn off notifications for when people post. You can bookmark the threads, and then just check your bookmarks to see if there are new posts. Right, or am I misunderstanding?
