How do I play Nanaca†Crash?
The original instructions are in Japanese, but it's not too hard to figure out how to play. Upon starting a new game, press and hold the mouse button to select a launch angle, and then release it to select launch power. During the game, if "AERIAL" lights up blue or red in the top left hand corner, you can perform an "AERIAL CRASH" by clicking the mouse. Both types of aerial crash give your character a boost - the red type angles it upwards, and the blue type angles it downwards. Note that you only have three red aerial crashes available, so use them wisely. Also, the blue aerial crash takes time to recharge after use, as you can see from the percentage next to it. If "SPECIAL" appears on the screen when you hit another character, clicking the mouse will activate that character's special.
Touko: When you hit her, she gives you a boost. Low-altitude type. Power is just a little stronger than Kiri.
Kiri: When you hit her, she gives you a boost. Her normal boost accelerates you at a 45 degree angle.
Misato: Normally she will force you to stop. However, if you're able to activate her SPECIAL, it boosts you with the highest power out of all the characters.
Nanaca: The star of the show, Nanaca can teleport in and boost your character using the AERIAL CRASH.
Sakuraba Hiroshi: Hitting him just changes your angle, it doesn't give you a boost or slow you down.
Taichi: Your (flying) character.
Youko: When you come into contact with her, she initially does nothing, but the next time you hit a female character, she will block whatever normally happens.
Tomoki: When you hit him, he slows you down.
Miki: When you hit her, she gives you a boost. Launch type. Power is just a little stronger than Kiri.
Specials
Under certain conditions, when you hit a character the word "SPECIAL" will appear. If you click the mouse within 0.7 seconds, a powerful special move will be activated. This is possible for five different characters: Miki, Kiri, Touko, Misato and Nanaca. The required conditions for each character's special to activate are all different.
Note that the information above concerning the characters and specials has been taken directly from the respective info pages of the game and translated using Babelfish (and then edited so it makes sense). There are various tips and tricks to be discovered which aren't mentioned there.

I think I hit 50k or somewhere thereabouts.
I still play this game from time to time.
Yeah. You can go pretty far.
I still fucking hate Youko. I've only ever gotten one of her specials (compared to several times I've hit two Misato specials in a row), she doesn't block the guys, and she's totally screwed me over maybe a hundred times while rarely ever blocking Misato a couple times in a useful manner.
I'm only dinking around at 3.5km currently. My all-time top distance was over 10.3km.
I'm surprised to hear of so many people who have not only beaten that, but outright trumped it.
