Hey it's Lego time.

Legos are pretty great, I bought the Rebel Blockade Runner set awhile ago and @Langly and @tastypastry helped me sort all the pieces out
and then I built the whole thing myself after they went home.
Sorry guys! (but thank you)

What happened with Legos? They used to be simple. Oh c'mon, I know you know what I'm talking about: Legos were simple? Something happened out here while I was inside... Harry Potter Legos, Star Wars Legos, complicated kits, tiny little blocks. I mean, I'm not saying it's bad, I just wanna know what happened.
My dad bought £50 worth of Lego minifigs in London as well as some Monster Fighters sets. It seems he's become the family collector while my older sister is the builder.

What happened is that a brand has to innovate and intrigue customers with new designs in order to avoid stagnating. Coupled with the fact that Lego fans have grown up and still remained fans over the years has caused the Lego brand and Lego model sets to become more intricate and complex over the years.

Honestly, I think anyone who is so pedantic about the terminology has never been six years old and screamed "LEGOS" when they found they had received them as a gift.

And I pity them
I have been to Legoland 7 times in my earlier days and exhausted hour after hour playing with anyone who would and I had never until I started using the net heard the phrase Legos as opposed to Lego from anyone I know

You don't count unless it actually makes you angry when you hear someone say "Legos"
Last time I was over at my uncles' place for christmas, we talked about about his two sons playing with Lego, and how they'd always be the new fancy sets so they'd have to keep them separate so the parts wouldn't get mixed up. Just... doing everything wrong, basically. We gave them the big box of Legos we hadn't touched in years during the summer, and heard they were basically playing with them every day, building something in the morning before school then taking it apart and building something new in the afternoon, just the way things are supposed to be.

It is yet another one of those things Americans do wrongly because they just like to be wrong to make themselves stand out or something, I dunno.
