THE CANDY MAN CAN
It is the season for candy. Bags and bags and bags of it lining store shelves. But you don't have to just eat candy in October.
Do you tend to favor chocolate type candies such as M&Ms, Snickers, Reese's cups, and Caramello or do you prefer fruity kinds like Skittles, Sweet Tarts, Red Vines, and Laffy Taffy?
Do you just treat yourself occasionally, like when going to to a movie, or do you always have a stash in your desk or bag?
One summer during college, I worked in an office that always had a candy dish with mini Hershey's and Reese's stuff. I exhibited pretty much no self control and ate two or three a day. It was enough do that I actually gave myself a temporary allergy to chocolate so that I was breaking out in hives.
Pretzel M&Ms are pretty fantastic.
I used to be into the super sour personal challenge candy when I was a kiddo, such as Cry Babies, Tear Jerkers, and Warheads. Now, the most sour I want to deal with is Sour Patch Kids or those neon sour gummi worms.
One time I had a dark chocolate bar with bacon pieces in it. It was pretty good.
There is a butcher nearby called Proper British Bacon that also stocks in various UK candies. I've been meaning to try some. Hey Brits, what of your candies are good?
Do you ever want to go into one of those bulk candy stores in the mall and just get a big ol' bag of various candies and then realize that they charge a ridiculous per pound price and then just end up getting a few peach rings and some sour belts?
Let's hear it for candy!

Charleston Chew is also a favorite of mine
It was that day that I realized that I have the best friends in the world.
And that I love candy.

Gonna trick or treat at Dru's house dressed up like a bag of sugar.
The first time I read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, I had no idea what Turkish delight was and thought it was something made from poultry.
Let's settle the great debate now. What sounds more stupid, lollies or candy?

Man, why would I have any?
sour candy is my favorite, though, gimme all the sour candy
Nerd ropes are pretty dank too
The worst candy though? Goddamned Necco wafers.
I wasn't able to have Nerds or a Blizzard for a long time after that.
The moment that it really dawned on me that I eat way too many skittles was the day that I bought a bag, took a bite of a few, and instantly said "Oh, they changed the flavor of the green and yellow ones."
What I love more than that, though, is seasonal Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I swear to God there will be a Reeses Peanut Butter Pumpkin patch inside my stomach before the month of October is over.
My other favorites are Peanut Butter M&Ms, those little mellowcreme pumpkins, those super dark chocolate bars I can get at Trader Joe's/Whole Foods, English Smarties, Cookies & Cream Hershey bars, and Snickers bars. I love chocolates a lot, never really been a fan of gummy or fruity candy but it's OK sometimes. Of course, Cadbury creme eggs are awesome too, but I hear in England they're a little bigger than the ones we get here in the US.
thank god

at the taco bell drive through
I've been working on a bag of bright purple grape licorice for a few weeks now
I have also found that I eat candy much more slowly now than I did as a kid. A chocolate bar will last me a week instead of 10 minutes.
My favorite candy is ferrero rocher chocolates. I can run through a tray in one sitting. I wish they made like apple sized versions of those
Oh God
It's almost like a mimosa, only trashier
And caramel apples! Anybody in here like caramel apples?
cadbury mini eggs are the best don't try to argue you know I'm right
Honeycrisps are pretty great, but my favorites are braeburn or fuji.
Trader Joe's sells some that are crazy good
Edit: Also if you've never had an apple banana, go give it a try. They are fantastic.
