In latest issue of NOM, magazine announced that it would have big exclusive on its next issue. Magazine gave following picture as a hint on its preview section. Someone at GAF did little re-construction to the picture, and what he found out was quite fascinating.

EDIT: So either it's a joke, it's BS, it's actually NiGHTS Wii (a remake with motion controls or sequel) or it's NiGHTS and Saturn emulation for the VC.
I kind of hope it's the latter, because that would mean GUARDIAN HEROES! The only Saturn game I ever really wanted to try.

So, you've got Threepio saying he saw NiGHTS at GDC. I know a guy, an Ex-Sega Q&A tester, who's "whistling innocently" (as he puts it) on the prospect of a new NiGHTS game (and I trust him; he's proven himself to me a number of times). And now you've got this.

Although i do have a saturn in my closet and a copy of NiGHTS. Hopefully it will be a sequel or some sort of extended remix. The original is kind of short.
I know I don't ask for much. And dammit, you don't really ever give me much either. Please. NiGHTS on the Wii. Please?
And make that Saturn VC rumor be true too, even though there isn't a controller available to properly emulate the Saturn controller.
Oh, and how about that "End to World Hunger" thing too? That would be nice. But let's focus on the above two, shall we?

The Classic controller has 4 face buttons and 4 shoulder buttons
Saturn controller has 6 face buttons and two shoulder buttons.

Don't forget the Sega poll about reviving franchises. And I could've sworn I just heard a rumor about Saturn on VC, but I can't remember where.

Yeah - except for the amazing 2d fighters that the Saturn had I can't think of many of the titles that couldn't be remapped to the Classic Controller easily.
Now we just need Dreamcast emulation so I can play Toy Commander again.
all the capcom ones should translate over just fine.
About that - I think that was just marketing.
I mean, did Sega really need to post that poll at all? Of course NiGHTS was going to mop the floor. If Sega really wanted to know something like that, there are focus groups they no doubt could hold.
Let's look at it this way: Roughly a month before Shadow the Hedgehog was announced, Sega had a survey about games you wanted to see in the future. One of the questions was about Sonic games, and asked what character you would want to see starring in a potential Sonic spinoff. Of the choices were Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails.
I think Sega knew Shadow was already popular, and this survey was kind of... a marketing tool. Sega already knew what the answer was, but they asked the question so they could answer it with "We're already working on it." in order to endear themselves with whatever fanbase would actually want a game starring Shadow.
Granted, this is just a wild conspriacy theory.

I should have said remapped perfectly. They'd translate fine - I just HATE playing 6 button fighters with only 4 face buttons.

Oh, I totally agree. They knew NiGHTS would win in a landslide, that's why it counts as a hint.
In that poll, I actually voted Streets of Rage. Having one or the other (or both!), doesn't matter to me.
Yeah - but that wasn't an official magazine - it was EGM wasn't it? I have a hard time thinking that an official Nintendo publication would A.) Hype a non-existant game as a joke unless it's blatently non-existant like Grand Theft Mushroom Kingdom type of stuff and B.) Carry the joke out in two issues of a magazine. The only question now seems to be VC version of the Saturn game, new game in the series, or both?
