Paper Mario: Sticker Star - Out November 11th in the US!

Paper Mario: Sticker Star is the newest part of the Paper Mario Franchise.

The battle system has been reworked so that stickers now represent your attacks. However, you can only carry so many stickers with you at one time, giving battles an extra layer of strategy to them.
Word on the street is that leveling up is gone, and instead, you get more pages for your stickers.

The stickers system itself is reminiscent of RE4's attache weapon case, where stickers occupy spots on a grid. More powerful stickers take up larger portions of the grid.

Talk of previous Paper Mario titles is acceptable in this thread, as well as the Mario and Luigi series.

That's a really good question. I haven't heard of any features using it.

But it would be cool if it would give you new stickers or special stickers.

I'm a little disappointed that there aren't any partners, and that they've gotten rid of a lot of the RPG elements. The new battle system seems cool though.

To be fair though both Paper Mario and TYD had levels as well, though sometimes you could come back to them for one or two minor things.

To be fair though both Paper Mario and TYD had levels as well, though sometimes you could come back to them for one or two minor things.

Having the game split up into levels makes sense for a portable game.

Hmm I always loved paper Mario because it was close to continuing Mario RPGs as I could get. I wonder how true that will be in this new one with the changes I've seen. I'm hopeful it'll be good either way though

I've never actually played any of the Paper Mario games (not sure why, I own all the consoles the games were released on, I love Mario, I love RPGs, I loved the Mario & Luigi games..) but I'm kinda interested in this one. I'm guessing it's as good a point as any to jump into the series?

If so, I'll probably buy it around Christmas or so, maybe in January if there's a slight price drop.
