Ok, I wasn't specific about what steps I took to solve this, so same problem, new thread.

Tried to play Mechwarrior 4 the other day so I installed it and I dont have MissionLang.dll, not sure why I dont, but I dont. I guess the CD is scratched or somethin. I dunno.

Googled the file, all I found were sites that I could buy the file off of for like $13, and forums for the game that had problems with other .dll files. Found a site that told me to uninstall and then install. Did that, same problem, I think the CD is messed up.

So if anyone has the game is there any chance you could get on AIM or somethin and launch that file my way? or if you know of a place where I can get it for free, that would be cool also.

In my experience, after uninstalling MW4: Mercs if you want to play them again you have to either first go through the system registry andmanually remove all the leftover keys or install the game, then go through the registry and manually edit the pathnames in the leftover keys from the old install to the new path for the game. I've always found it hilarious that a Microsoft game would be the only one I own that doesn't know how to interact with the Windows registry sufficiently to work right.

I mean if you look at the paths in the keys and they're all correct, clearly that wasn't the problem.
