The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
It used to be Mac/Linux only but there's a brand new Windows port, which I assume is what you use. It's really excellent. Assuming the Windows port is even remotely as good as the Mac version, I think you'll really like it.
I've been messing around with Handbrake, but for some reason it will simply not read all the titles on this DVD. The Battlestar Galatica (dual layer) DVD only has four or five titles, but Handbrake will only read title 2, which is not the full movie.
Hmm, that's really strange. I've used HandBrake to rip all sorts of TV show DVDs and I've never had trouble getting it to read all the titles. In recent memory, the only problem I had was getting it to rip a copy of Terminator 2 extended edition. It cut out somewhere in the middle for some reason (I suspect it was the title's ~80 chapters that did it) but I was able to resume ripping where it left off with the chapter range selection menu and use Quicktime Pro's neat MP4 repackaging feature to rejoin the segments into one file without reencoding.
I wish I had a copy of the DVD both to watch and see if it's a platform specific issue with the ripper.

I'll fuck around in the morning. Thanks, guys.
This is always a good idea because it reduces wear on your DVD drive and makes experimentation a whole lot faster.
